****The Official Samsung Galaxy S II Thread***

I'm running my S2 on stock and using GO Launcher and I've disabled "auto-rotate" as I dont like my homescreens flipping but is there any way to make it so the internet browser does even when I've got it set like this?

Thanks......

change the auto-rotate on go launcher only - its in the go launcher operation settings

I've just received my shiny new S2 today and whilst copying all of my photos and videos on to it via my laptop, I got a warning saying that my new device might not be able to read the files!?!?!

The pictures were all simple jpeg files off my last phone and they seem to play fine (and the videos) but for some reason the date on the photos have all been changed to todays date and time instead of retaining the date and time they were taken - so now I cant put them in date-taken order!

Anyone got any ideas on how to fix this???

Thanks guys....

enable usb bugging and then just drag and drop files - I've never had the above issue.

Thanks!!! I've just discovered the setting in the launcher just before seeing your reply  and I'll give it another go on copying over my pics so see if it does it any differently!

Tried LeoMar, keep getting shutdowns every five minutes or so. That's a stock install with no other Leomar bits flashed and none of my own apps restored.

Guess I'll go back to Batista, been using that for a few weeks now with no issues.

I got a USB jig but I think I dont know how to use it properly - do I have to flash a rom after using the jig?

I basically have the yellow triangle and I want to get rid of that, but when I put the usb jig in it just says "Downloading" with the android guy but then nothing happens for ages.

I know jigs allow you to flash and reset the flash counter, i wasnt aware they allowed you to removed the triangle on a rooted firmware.

edit: oh and it depends what bootload you have as well. If you have flahsed a new firmware that has the new bootloader packaged then i believe the jig wont work. There's more info over at xda on this

The USB jig does remove the yellow triangle, afaik (I don't have one, don't see the point unless my phone needs returned :p) you just plug it in, turn on (into download mode) reset and it's done?

What firmware are you on? As it doesn't work with the new bootloader. XDA has the old bootloader that you can flash with Odin so that the jig works again :).

No idea which one to pick. Do they all come with that theme or only some. Or is the theme something seperate that can be downloaded on top of any rom?

With the USB jig you just power off the phone, plug the in jig and wait. The phone will automatically power up itself straight to download mode and you will see some message about the counter being erased.

Im on the latest Kies one which is 2.3.4 XWKI4

I guess the bootloader could be the problem.

Yep, you have the new bootloader, just download and flash the old bootloader from XDA and you'll be able to use the jig again :).

Edit: From the XDA post here:

If you've already flashed a full package from elsewhere or updated using KIES and cannot reset your binary counter using the Jig just flash this package in the PDA or Bootloader section of Odin to replace the bootloaders and then you can reset the counter: http://www.multiupload.com/LQQBRQVJUD
