****The Official Samsung Galaxy S II Thread***

There are a lot of idiots on XDA, but the devs have got a bit above themselves in my opinion. The grief they give people for asking questions is a bit over the top.

Then, the XDA mods seem to do a lot of weird/odd things and quite a few devs have moved off to their own sites now.

CM7 is on XDA, but for some reason the page wont finish loading for me at the moment.

With standard definition movies / tv shows, how many batteries do you estimate would be required to watch for say 8 – 10 hours ?

You do around 16-18% every hour of watching movies, in my experience. So one spare battery would likely do it.

Thanks, thinking of swapping my underused asus transformer for a better phone.

The fact that batteries as so cheap means I can have nearly unlimited runtime.

I'm running a Batista ROM, and 20 mins of SD video in Moboplayer with the phone in Airplane mode (I watch shows on the tube) and screen at full brightness uses up 3%.

You'd be cranky too if you keep on getting asked the same questions over and over again when the answer is on the very first page of your thread. You'd be cranky too if people keep on PMing you demanding stuff all the time as well. I consider myself a patent bloke but there are times when I want to just pimp slap some of the posters on there.

I'm sure you do. It's how someone handles themselves in those situations that makes them person they are.

You have my sympathy!

I suppose having a 500+ page thread doesn't help, but as you say, I am sure that a very large number of the questions currently being asked have indeed already been answered, and explained in some detail, in the first three posts in that thread!

If the Devs find it so annoying, perhaps they could just... you know... ignore the questions and let some of the ROM fanboys answer them instead.

XDA is high-horse central though, it's extremely amusing at times.

Not sure but I think my battery isn't lasting long enough!
Charged the phone to 100% till 1:30 midnight, then fell asleep till 9. I have Juice Defender Plus on and have it on night mode from 2-9 every day so 3g/wifi/gsp should be off at those times, also off when screen if off etc etc.

When I woke up at 9 though battery was at 64%. Well, that is 7.5hours of standby for 36%. Now it's at 20% with a few spotify while going to uni and some skype IMs while I was in the library.

Battery Usage says:
Android System 34%
Display 17%... this is odd cause when bought it used to be the display on top and android system in the low 10s.

Tried that, got flooded with PMs. This is why I don't release a custom ROM, it would be a nightmare to support.
