^^ Thats the reason I thought Id ask a little internet advice lol.

I much prefer your way of phrasing it! Im seeing her at a freiends birthday in a few weeks, may see how it goes then as A bit more social lubricant will be applied.

Haha yeah go for it. Best of luck :)

Just received this as a first message:

"Been looking at all the desperate lonely women on this site who are very boring like your self ALTHOUGH YOU ARE CUTE!! Wonder if your as good women on the outside as you are in you pics."

er...what? so he wants to find out if I'm as good in person as in the pics so he chooses to insult me first?

hahaha big bang theory

"Not many women could look as good as you do with such greasy hair"

Walk into a room of beautiful women and through out some negs!

Howard is such a tool lol
Yeah, take it as a compliment SS, he thinks you're out of his league so he's trying to knock you down a peg or two.

Met a girl on Sunday and had a really good time cycling about in the park. got on really well. Now she isn't replying to any messages after i asked for a second date, I admitted i am pretty forward and not shy and asked her for second date about 8 hours after saying bye to her.

was i too forward?

I wouldn't have said that's too forward.

My ex asked me for a second date by text after he'd got home from our first date and the most recent guy that I'd met asked me straight away for a second date.

Just give it some time and see if she responds :)

Asking to meet up for a second date isn't too forward at all. Both guys and gals just don't respond sometimes as they've changed their mind or they're not that into you.

I wouldn't lose any sleep over it to be honest, happened to me quite recently as well. Just keep looking, long as you aren't in a rush :p

Got this girl texting and calling me a bit but I don't really find her physically attractive although she is a nice person and seems fun. She has just asked me if I want to meet up for drinks. Not sure what to do, I feel real bad if I say no but I don't think I'll want to be more than friends to be honest. I haven't led her on but she seems quite into me even though I haven't text her much. Bah! I have the worst luck!

Is she fat?

Gotta fish with dynamite mate - hit em hard and frequently. Also lower your standards, if you're on POF you're already scraping the barrel.

I am very picky, i've only messaged about 8 girls so far and no joy. Is POF the worst site then?

I'm on Ok Cujpid and Match.com too but between those 2 sites there are only 3 girls i'd do and i don't want to pay to message 3 girls tops!!

i dont think its was too hard trolling, lets not pretend that pof is jam packed with the best women on offer only, there is some gems on there, finding them in the sea of scary people can be the problem though, and hoping they arent too tired of receiving moronic messages before you send something nice is probably the next hurdle :)

As far as the people sending nice messages go, just remember not to overdo the nice guy message, i do myself think im one of these relatively pleasant types (the good guy type) , but its all too easy to end up sounding a bit desperate telling someone you have lots in common and have identical interests blah blah, so if i spot something i dont agree with i make a point of telling them in a cheeky way, i'm guessing most people here are relatively intelligent and women do like flirting!, it dosent have to be rude or too suggestive, but a bit of cheekyness does seem to go down well :)

And likewise i wouldn't expect or believe someone who sent me a purely complimentary message, im not looking for somone to agree on every interest, musical taste, or pastime, some common ground is good, but i dont want a clone :)

Are there any success stories here?

I signed up once, it was full of whales who were arrogant as you'd not believe. Closed up shop shortly after, lack of effort on my behalf no doubt, though.
