With the pre-load being available today, 20GB thats gonna take a hell of a lot of time to download.
The averge hours it takes for a 5-7gb download on 8mb is around 5-6hours so for about 20gb is going to be about 16hours in total. :O

pre-loading now (11GB)... For it just to sit there for a week
Umm how do you start the preload? Does not seem to be an option for it on my origin?

Just wait till later till it is released in the UK. Yoy have 4 days to get it downloaded even my crappy connection can manage that!

It's only 10gb download size, not 20gb, some files are decompressed when they're installed
Glad I have 20mb internet though

Wish I had 8mb, I only have half meg, which equates to around 60kbs download. The Beta took 20 hours to download
. I have orded a retail disk, but there is talk of the patch being around 10gb, so I might as well pre-load it and leave it running. Would take around 100hrs to download.

I've spent 30 minutes with a very helpful EA rep and I now have access to my account.
Long story short is that they screwed up. I did cancel my BF3 pre-order however it along with the BETA are still in "My Games".
I can't see how to pre-load them...so maybe they have been cancelled. Any ideas?

my origin id has been changed now!
You can't preload it yet in the UK so maybe they haven't fully cancelled your pre-order either?
Or you were lucky enough to get it for free?
