The Official OCUK FIFA 12 1V1 league

my origin name is anddos, just gotta think of a team name
i need to figure out how to play in window mode as sometimes the game will change to desktop and i will loose connection to the match , very frustrating.

Yeah, not bad tactic at all. You did play barca style indeed and it worked well for you the first game getting a goal at the end ;)

This is how I try and play the game.

I don't hold on to the ball for the sake of it, I try and pass the ball around to get my players in good positions to create chances.

I cant play uber direct style.

Although i've had plenty league games where i'm lucky if i've had one attempt on goal and i'm unable to pass the ball around as I wish. Obviously it is not intentional not to have one freaking attempt at goal.

I'm rubbish and it doesn't help when you are lagging :mad:

As jonney and TNA have said, the best way to counter act people who play possession football is to play them at their own game.

Barca play attacking possesion and have shots though, yes it annoys the hell out of people and they end up bringing their defence out which is why you scored. I mean lets all play this and have the rest of the games 0 - 0.

It will be like 2 campers sitting there waiting for each other to come to one an other.

I understand your point to a certain extent.

But asking people to change their style of play if you don't like it, I don't agree with.

It is up to you, to find a solution to combat their style of play.

I would never consider for a second quitting though. Only reason I got annoyed a bit was I had never seen anyone play that way before. But soon got used and adapted my playing style and started giving him a taste of his own medicine. When he could not get the ball of me for ages that was so much fun, sorry jonney ;)

Sorry for sticking my head in, as this issue isn't with me.

But it does appear you are having a go at a persons style of play, because it didn't suit you with regard to having fun.

You have even suggested you will not play him again, due to his style of play.

99.9% of league games i've had have not been fun, personally, and I bet there are other players who are the same.

But we plunge on because, well, we are men. :D

god the switching back to desktop is anoying me like mad, ive got no background apps open whats so ever , anyone else experienced this?

You certainly are asking me to change my style of playing. Either accept people will play there style of play or look for another league that offers your sort of style of play your looking for.

Try telling that to Nick. When i played Nick, all he done when he got the ball was play direct quick atacking football and 9/10 always lost the ball within 3-4 passes. Its not my fault he cant hold the ball longer.

i guess i should play the same too and give the ball to him to make it fair lol

I missed this post, I really wish there was the same option as in COD to reply the matches. You would see all your possession at the half way line...
 
Everybody plays differently and some like it and some hate it, no matter what rules, what style, hell whatever is done it won't please everyone. This is suposed to be about fun and for the large part (for me anyways) it has been and I hope continues to be, this league and next. Lad's it's a game, something that is played and should not be taken seriously (something we ALL are quilty of at times). Let's move on people.

Oh and as for jonney I must admit he did do one thing that has seriously p'd me off ... giving my defender a bribe to head into his own net was the lowest of the low ...

If your opponent is playing keep ball try to apply more pressure so run at them with your second defender and control the other one to stop passing opportunities. They will make a mistake then you can counter.

Or they just see you do that and pass into the space you created for them. If you dont do that they just keep passing the ball around all game until you do. As what happened in my game. Which is why the tactic sucks.

Maybe I should put all assist on my settings from now stop my wayward passing especially with a 2.5 star team, feels like cheating though.
 
Right ok, i bought fifa 12, it loses connection every single game, ive tried 20 matches not one has completed. ive lost or gained no points, still says 0 matches. Just reminds me why i always avoid ea. they are crap, i have 11 people on my friends list for origin all having same problem.

go for it. your allowed to play with assists on but no legacy defending. thats all.

I play on semi and have through balls set to manual. might try manual passing as i still feel semi passing is easy compared to PES.

I'l be online later so u can have your revenge ;)

Lots of people on my friends list and they have zero problems and lots of points, but that's not gonna solve your problem. What does your firewall status say? Have you also tried opening up ports for fifa12 ?
