What film did you watch last night?

Well, I'm not sure what to think.

Thought it was alright actually.

Well made, well acted, good pace, nice look and feel, well shot et cetra... just the content was a bit, off putting? Didn't bother me too much.

Watchmen - Ultimate Cut.

Other than it being based on a comic book, i knew nothing about this film going into it and really didn't know what to expect. It was thoroughly enjoyable though and i liked it more than i thought i would. In parts it felt like a 300/Sin City mashup but only in a good way.

I feel like i could watch all three and a half hours of it again tonight!

8/10

Never did finish watching watchmen started watching it at stupid a'clock and fell asleep.

Attack The Block - quite funny in a South London kind of way, can see that they made the most out of what you can imagine was a limiting budget. Also, well acted by a bunch of unknown kids.

Not technically last night, but watched Seven Samurai on Friday. Really good film except I didn't realise it was 3 1/2 hours long.

9/10

I watched American Gangster. It's good, but Blow is a much much better drug dealer film.

AG's story isn't as strong or as emotional as Blow in my opinion.

I am actually just about to start watching that, weird.

Also, last night I watched 'Once Upon a Time in America' for the first time and O.M.G what an epic film. 3:49 minutes long and I actually got emotional at the bromance. Simply awesome film, I could tell it was awesome as soon as I seen the scene of him leaving new york and coming back 35 years later to an alternated version of 'Yesterday' playing. I love it.

You know American Gangster is based on true events yes? :)

As is Blow http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Blow_(film)

And i have to agree with Asim here, blow is a much better film/story you can relate to the characters much more easily than in AG....Blow reminds me a lot of Catch me if you can actually, in so much as you feel something of a bond with the characters.
