I cant see how Driver Sweeper would mess up your OS. It's very easy to use, just click on the type of device e.g. Display ATI and click clean. When you have ran it and restarted your PC your resolution might be very low, that happenes because all traces of the drivers have been removed. You just have to install your drivers then.

I didn't think changing the clock speed in the bios then reflashing it would effect it.

obviously it does, Now I need to remember how I fixed it last time this happened, as the PC crashes when it tries loading any 3D.

Safe mode is fine but can't run ATI flash under it.

Don't modify the clock speeds inside RBE, or you WILL get BSODs (as you've experienced). Use MSI Afterburner to change your clock speeds.
As for fixing your broken card, perhaps you have a second card you can use so that you can flash it back?
 
No need mate. Finished single player today. Takes only 4.5 hour. Smooth game play at 1366x768 on ultra aax4 and stuff everything on.

6850@850mhz(got better cooling on its way) with phenom II 1090 6x4.1ghz and 4gb of ocz 1600mhz 8/8/8/26. My cheap monitor does not pull higher resolution. But my eyesight is crappy enough that i would not see any difference at 1080p :P specially its only 19 inch. Just dont like big monitors hehe.
 
For anyone losing scaling on CF or CF not enabling during the game. Alt+enter x2 and this seems to fix it :D


*It seems as though everytime you change the game settings CF scaling is lost so only 1GPU gets used. This was a fixed I used.

I tried it with a single oc'd gtx 470 last night for a quick blast, (750mhz core), max of 50fps on high with 2x msaa, motion blur and hbao off, 16xaf res of 1920x1200. Dropped to around 30 at times.
 
im getting between 40 and 70 fps with i7 2600k@ 4.5 8gb ram and a msi 580 twin forzr.

all max bar 2xaa does that sound normal.

im also getting stuttering any way to resolve this with nvidia cards???
 
The stuttering is apparently a driver issue, (285.62 driver rev), getting a bit as well, just a few mins ago in a round my fps was all over the place on a pretty empty part of the map, 120-90 in a split second. Felt pretty jerky just then.
 
New ATI drivers.
1680x1050
Intel Core i5 2500k
8GB RAM
Radeon HD 6870 1GB

Settings all on High Antialiasing Deferred off i'm getting in the region of 60-70fps on a 64 man server.
