Cheers Gerard, I'll test out some other servers... currently running around like a bit of a *** shooting anything that moves.
 
I've just been scanning the EA forums and someone posted this 'fix' on to make it install from disc (Origin as buggy as ever)

Here's the simple fix to instaling bf3 YOU NEED TO BE ONLINE!

1. open orgin but make sure your game is added to library

2. insert Disk 1 then run the setup exe (NOTICE ORGIN MUST BE OPEN FOR THIS TO WORK)

3. when the popup appears click* the install box orgin will start to say Preparing then - Instaling Information - check the pause button it must say INSTALLING INFORMATION you will hear your drive reading the disk also have your second disk ready as when it hits 5GB it will ask for disk 2 (Above Where it would say normally downloading) This means it's installing from Disk IF IT SAYS DOWNLOADING YOU DID IT WRONG!

Keep in mind! after you finish installing disk 2 the game will download a 400MB patch this is normal let it finish and your ready to go!

I never had the issue, so dunno what I did to get it to install via disc :confused:
 
game is good, but, oh yes theres a but, i find the majority of the levels are majorly dark even with brightness on my screen full!
 
Think that the theran highway is a laggy map, was on the SAS beerdrinkers server and a lot of ppl were complaing of lag on the 3rd section of the rush, i was porting about everywhere running past a building only to find im suddenly inside it.
 
Now it seems that Origin has decided to download it again - im at 56% now 2nd cd required and speeds have died. Im going to give up I think.
 
Just tried the Bronken server, good game. No lag at all. It was the Canal map and first impressions were pretty good.

Sorry if i am not showing much team work at the moment, but i need to learn the maps really.

The only thing that seemed odd was that i fired a rocket at a jeep with 2 enemies in it and got a direct hit, it came up with vehicle disabled and 2 kill assists, Why don't i get the kills!!!

Absolute ****. Began downloading it last night but had to pause and switch off as was staying at gf's overnight. Resumed download first thing this morning and all seemed well. Was well over 50% when I last checked. Checked it again about half hour ago expecting it to be nearly ready only to be met by "Error downloading, please restart Origin to resume download"

So restarted and now I have to completely restart download from scratch. Yet I'm pretty sure the files (or part of the files) are still somewhere on my computer as the drive had about 121GB remaining and now has 116GB. ****ed off to say the least.
