Not encountered a jet, attack or transport heli in 3 maps.

Seems to me the maps are a lot smaller than bf2 and frankly CoD does FPS better than this.

There is no team work, no coordination and no fun. Maybe I am too old for all this crap now. Back to World of Tanks I think!

That about sums it up, vehicles are an after thought in BF3, way under powered especially the jets that basically have to stay out of the action as they are easy meat, the maps are clustered and get boring fast. Lag is some of the worst I have ever experienced online. It's more BC3 than BF3.

I will rank up and get the unlocks I want to try but this won't last me more than 6 months, back to BF2 I guess.
 
Jesus the BF3 campaign is terrible. Two amazingly awesome levels aren't enough to save it from QTE and the general rail shooter problems.

QTE which pop up out of nowhere and can result in you replaying a segment if you miss time it while you grab a drink or something really annoyed me in this game, mostly because they're just so unnecessary and universally hated. Don't know why developers insist on including this stuff.

Combine that with a rail shooter which at one point actually kills you if you get to close to an enemy in a particular segment for no apparent reason, along with other equally poor design choices and you get a sub par campaign featuring two of the best scenes in a video game.

It's like they spent all their time on those two (everyone knows which I mean) and just thought "screw it, that's all we need to get people interested in the campaign and get them in the door, shove QTE into the rest of it".

Disappointing.

But then, MP is the focus anyway so whatever :)

I went with the digital download myself. But I would assume if you brought the boxed version you would have a manual with the serial number on the back. That would then go in to the redeem code to unlock.

I simply started Origin, put the disc in... let it autorun, and then it asked me for my Product ID. Sounds like you need to completely uninstall Origin and start again.
 
Mine sometimes crashes after 5minute and other times I can play for half an hour, game freezes and I have to use alt + ctrl + del to get back to desktop where the game has stopped working.

Tried upping voltage to 1.01v, downclocking speeds and still no joy.

Mine is the Asus 560TI 830mhz version,

Gutted I cant play this game!

I think if jets just had cannon gun that would have been enough for prolonging dog fight and making it exciting and skillful gameplay.

The use of other unlocks such as heat seekers and missiles make it too easy to shoot down jet and you are more concerned with saving your ass after hearing the dreaded lock on beeps rather than engaging in tactical skillful dogfight.
 
Just got in from work, was hoping for a quick session on BF3 before going out for dinner..

but oh wait.. ORIGIN WON'T LAUNCH BECAUSE IT NEEDS TO BE UPDATED. :mad:

Updates been stuck on 0.00% for the past 15 minutes.
 
Not had a single punkbuster kick yet in my 3-4 hours off online play. Hardcopy, could punnkbuster issues be related to download versions? BF3,Origin and punkbuster are great for me right now :)
 
Can anyone else just not connect, regardless of however many gods they pray to?

I had two games earlier today and since then neither the server browser or matchmaking will work. All I get is "connection failed" :confused:
