Xbox 360 BF3 server preference

I thought I'd try BF3 on consoles, and wow, what a bunch of noobs on the whole.

Yes they are great at shooting me from 1/2 a mile away, but suck at actually completing the tasks , I seem to do well every game but have an appalling K/D ratio...so what, thats not what BF has ever been about

Seriously this drives me so mad. THROW Down AMMO and Health packs. Revive people. If someone dies, take there kit and revive them if they are a medic. Far too many people on here who just think it is a shoot your gun game.

Yeah the gets me too, not so much with health and reviving but definitely with ammo, way to often I'm running round with only my pistol left or no rockets.

Obviously don't use it if your trying to be covert and sneak around a flank or whatever. But if your going in all guns blazing and not trying to be covert then I see no reason why not

Down on the d-pad will switch it off and on, so you can turn it off when you're sneaking and turn it on when you think you need it.

Also I have a question, is firing from the hip very effective in this game? I always tend to ADS, it's a habit I picked up from years of CoD but a lot of the time in BF3 I'll ADS and someone's already sprayed me and I'm dead. This could be lag, but some games I can absolutely dominate and other games I'm only mid/bottom table. I always go for the objectives but it would be nice to get a few kills now and then. :p

It's fine to fire from the hip in close quarters positions. As you quite rightly say, by the time you draw your scope your opponent has already had a good few shots into you.

Im a decent medic so usually end up top of the board, the only time i end up screwed is when no one drops ammo, despite them camping prone in a corner with me spamming the ammo request button on them.

I think the spawning is a bit balls, first that you can literally spawn beside and enemy for him to knife you in the back. Secondly when choosing a spawn location I dont think its too obvious from the map where you're going, the order of the flags is often different and there isn't great highlighting - sucks when you're trying to reach somewhere before it gets capped in 2 seconds

Ahh thanks I'll start trying that more often. I think it has something to do with the guns available to me, I'm only level 7, I've only just unlocked my first SMG and I find the assault rifles so far to be a real handful recoil wise. :o
 
I hope the servers level out over time, I'm getting a bit sick of the latency. When I join a game it has almost full bars but when I'm playing I'll throw an ammo box and it'll come out three times, I'll shoot people and get hit markers but they turn around and kill me in what seems like one hit, I'll throw a grenade and it actually throws it about 2 seconds after my arm has moved... annoying. :(
 
Kill - do me a favour, when this starts getting a better experience, let me know - tempted to pick it up, but honestly dont want to be annoyed by yet another EA release that has been badly supported/thought-out. Kinda already had enough of it from FIFA 12...

Something like an FPS lives and breathes on server support - really would like to smash my tiny PS3 keyboard into EAs face...

funny, ive been having issues since i picked the game up :( i knew this would happen as the same thing happened in BC2, typical EA putting as few as possible servers in EU and having more in the US :(
