Battlefield 3 thread - Server details in opening post -

Kharg island, US side, 2 people spawn behind the jeeps whilst everyone else either spawns with the tanks or to the left of the boats - what do the 2 guys in next to the jeeps do? Take 1 jeep each and drive off without picking anyone up. I swear I could do harm to them irl if you just put them in front of me - and I've lost count the amount of times when I've been running to get in the gunner seat of a tank and the guy in it has just driven off, give me pure rage - also the people who just sit there in the tanks duking it out with other tanks etc. and inevitably get it destroyed...too much rage.

Man, so many times this as happened to me even with squad members lol.

The best part is when they're both snipers and they dump the jeeps by a hill and run up it to hide behind some rocks.

I've not had problems knifing prone snipers, not sure what's happening on your end.

Mini cut scene is quite amusing when u knife someone though.

Even more amusing is when someone kills you and in the killcam you catch a teammate knifing them from behind!

I play around with people wanting a ride, i'll let them get to a certain distance, then drive away and stop again.

I rocket spammed for like 2-3 rounds because I was at the end of my tether dying to them all the time and I've got 31 SMAW kills and 17 RPG kills.

It's probably best you don't get in a Jeep with me tbh, considering I always end up encountering a tank en-route to my destination. Many a time have I jumped out to save myself, only for the people in the Jeep to simply roll towards the front of the tank... hehe

Any idea how to backup Battlefield 3? Do I just copy the folder C:\Program Files (x86)\Origin Games Folder?

Don't get in a chopper with me then, too many people have died when i bail before being destroyed, i also forget i have passengers and sometimes commit suicide by dive bombing.

AHHHH I thought I needed to upgrade it somehow lol. Everytime I press F when I sneak up behind someone it just slashes them and never stabs them. Hence they turn round, laugh and shoot me in the face

Had a nightmare trying to get my joystick (Cyborg Evo) and wireless 360 controller to work last night. I gave up in the end as it just wasn't playing ball. I have tried removing all of the binds under Jet/Helo and all the joystick ones under infantry and neither respond. I can click buttons and waggle joysticks and it is like it just doesn't detect the input. Both are working fine under windows game controller settings.

DICE seriously need to sort it out because it is just a joke. Aside from this I am absolutely loving the game and would just like to complete the experience really. Well a complete experience would be for them to implement TrackIR support

Haha i'm not too bad at flying a choppa, I've spent a decent amount of time practising and then it comes to a full server, I jump in and think to myself.. I'm ready to rock this up.

Then some how because I go zooming off, I hit a tree in my base and crash killing the gunner

Just copy the battefield 3 folder mate from the location you said on an external HD and job done

If its anything like steam, then yea, back up that folder.

Ok cheers I did tick the option to "save game installer file" in origin but the file is like 150 kbs.

It kinda sucks that you cant jump into an empty server so that you can get a feel for the Aircraft.

Its no good letting your team down due to unfamiliarity.
