i think the destruction is spot on now best in series....

before a c4 or grenade would take out a wall first time wether it was brick mud, concrete or reinforced concrete. Where as now depending on the material it may take 1 or 2 or more blasts to make a hole large enough to jump through.

take a look next time buildings with reinforced concrete start to crack and crumble before falling down.

i do remember felling trees with a sniper rifle which i thought was a bit of a cheat anyway as the sniper rifle would one shot trees yet the humvee mounted 50 cals would need quite a few rounds to fell a tree..? plus can you fell a tree with a sniper rifle in real life??( i dont know)

I would disagree. Games are supposed to be fun first and foremost and the destruction in BC2 was really really fun :( now not so.

I do get frustrated when you choose to spawn in a squad or capture point that then is no longer available in the millisecond between you pressing 'A' and actually spawning.
Throws you back to the deployment area which is usually miles away, I then spend 5 minutes trecking to where there is some action only to be shot before actually seeing anyone :(

Only happens rarely but no less annoying.

Strangely am finding that Capsian Border, Operation Firestorm and Kharg Island can all be a bit hit and miss to getting a decent game. I think the player limits really do let it down on these maps as even though you do see people, if your playing CQ you tend to just run from one flag back and forth as opposed to big firefights. Whilst I have had some very good games on them the ever so slightly infantry focused maps seem to provide a much more consistent game.....dare I say it but Operation Metro has probably given me some of my best games so far! I thought the map was very biased in CQ when I first played but working with my mate we won from both ends and always great firefights :D

Just wish the lag would get sorted, actually managed to join 2 games last night with a mate and straight into same squad on same team!

Can someone please tell me why i paid extra for the limited edition PS3 version of bf3.

What has it given me? Back to Karkland it says on the front. but that is not available yet.

Just would like to know what I got compared to the normal version.

thanks

+ I hate spawning as the wrong class. I swear the game changes you when you don't realize it on purpose!

You get the Karkland expansion when it is released for free, it will cost around £14.99 worth of points I believe if you hadn't pre-ordered. Read somewhere it was due in December.

How much extra did you pay ? Everywhere I saw that was selling the noraml version it was like £1 cheaper.

To clarify a little on my previous comment, the reason CQ feels so empty is that on a fair few maps there's the same nr of vehicles as in the PC version, but with half the players.
So the map ends up with 80% of the players flying around in choppers or jets, and leaves something like 3v3 to actually try and compete for the points which is dull.

Stop being a negative nancy! Gamers today are too spoiled! :D

The 24 player limit is a little concerning on the consoles as much prefer the big battles on BF2, but with console being my only option I've not got much choice :)

Also completed the SP, only did it on Normal though, trying it on hard I suspect will bring back memories of trying to do Black Ops on Veteran

Graphically fantastic, sound is brilliant, little on the short side but personally I did enjoy the story and how it unravelled
