Any person with any real mind in them, when trying to create an alias such as posing as an other person to groom etc would properly research a person through pictures.
They would have found the pictures of the girl in cheerleading uniform and used that as part of their back story. If only one picture was ever found of them as a cheerleading the story may become "I was cold one night and my freind lent me her cheerleading jumper."

What I want to know is how old were you pretending to be to get pictures of an underager?!
