Is this a real girl, or a lie?

Contract job details seem to check out. Seems about right salary for contract test manager in London. Maybe a touch high but certainly in range. Also bear in mind a lot of contracts can be 6 or 3 months and many contractors have bench time between them. Bank of America do have an IT building in Croydon too (I was offered a permie job there after a couple of interviews but turned it down down because it was a truly dismal place to work).

I can be the neutral person

No-one wants to take the bet :(

Which was a blessing in disguise really .. as it's dropped to a dismal 92% .. (I'd have let any 'judge' actualy log in to my account to prove no photoshopping if someone had taken the bet! Then promptly lost the bet, and given them a £30 game! :) )

I was intrigued by the dragon's den thing - hadn't seen it before - googling 'britboy dragon's den' revealed this:

but the comment below the video was rather amusing:

hes 40years old manboy who claims to be earning 100k for the last 15 years ,he enjoys spending his spare time talking to teenage american school girls and starting ridiculous topics on the overclockers.co.uk forums.
for this reason i am out.

Britboy what is your view on life, all I see at the moment is trying to make as much money as possible, it's always on my mind.

I think making a lot of money makes almost every other part of your life better. You can buy your way out of most things that otherwise would be hassle. Get taxis instead of buses. not care how much petrol has gone up by, or cheese has risen by 20% .. just buy the stuff. Never worry about bills, ever. Don't bother putting on a jumper -- just turn the heating up! That makes life a LOT easier. And I hate the idea of not having as much as I could due to lack of effort or lack of trying.

I also *know* companys rely on employees loyalty to keep them poorly paid for years and the company will show them no such return of loyalty if the tables are turned. They'll just make you redundant. So why do suckers give their company loyalty -- not even looking at the market or what they could get .. then moaning about being on 18K. If you don't like it -- GO AND CHANGE IT. YOURSELF!

Therefore I believe changing jobs quite regularly and always checking the market is essential to reach your potential earning. Working 16 hours for 10 hours pay is not. If you do this 'to make a good impression' - the boss just thinks you're the sucker .. and laughs about it to his mates down the pub.

So contracting is perfect for me.

Personal life .. well .. as long as your family is more important to you than yourself, and you're a nice guy that never hurts anyone, I reckon anyone'll do OK. I fundamentally reckon almost everyone on the planet is deep-down nice. Having friends and people that like me is *major* important in my life - give self-affirmation. So I've always put a lot of effort into it.

That was kinda deep.
