sounds like you're playing it wrong

squad action with voice comms + mixing game modes / maps / weapons keep's it different and interesting

Must admit I'm struggling to bring myself to play this recently. I'm not a fan of most of the maps.

Guys,

Finally sorting myself out and getting the game installed. Looking to play in teams properly (Im mainly an Engi and Medic). Do you voice comms in game or use a TS server?

TS with some of my friends, we normally have 4 of us at a time so perfect for squad action and zooming across the map in jeeps

Works fine for me. Check your AV or firewall didn't block it after the update or something.

Installed the game late last night, have only had a quick bash on the single player to try and get a feeling for the game dynamics etc . Unfortunately with my 3.2ghz Q6600 and GTX260 I'm on all low @ 1920x1200, but I'm still amazed how good it looks. Think there may be a touch too much going on with the light glare and how your screen goes fuzzy when you're shot but only the smallest of amounts. Will be firing up MP now

Have you allowed the site in your anti virus?

Do you use Avast by any chance? If so it's webshield or whatever it's called blocks the updates.

I have the same problem with my Kaspersky, for me to play Co-Op i need to turn it off to see the join button on Battlelog. If i turn it off i don't need to refresh the web browser be it Firefox/Chrome to see updates, party and invites in battlelog they pop up instantly.

460 overclocked to 800 core and 1000 mem should be enough for you, it is for me. I run with mostly high with effects medium as according to article thats all anyone needs. I run with fxaa medium and no ambient occlusion and terrain decorrations on low or med i forgot which. Mostly 55-60 fps and plays nice. According to the article im not missing barely anything by not using ultra settings. Missing the shadows accuracy a bit but meh i turn it off in all games anyhow the ambient occ.. as just a resource hog just for shadows.

Still getting random disconnects and cant even finish a round most of the time. Highly annoying. As well as the long loading times.

Hope a patch comes out to fix whatever is causing the disconections/time outs and somit to improve loading times.

Anyone who is not enjoying the game is either burnt out on FPSs already or just a forever aloner, its a ****** great game, squads, teamplay, objectives, huge maps, vehicles, unlocks awards and achievements, its got it all, just gotta get past the couple of crap maps and get some buddies in who know how to play and you're rockin.
