Have you played previous Elder Scrolls/Fallout games? They are special tbh, they give you so much freedom and things to explore. At the end of the day a lot can be forgiven because of the scale of the game

Who really cares if the game has some low res textures? The gameplay is more important and, as has been said already, a graphics mod will come along soon enough.

Chill out guys, it's not that bad. (unless you're buying it for the cows!)

Yes I have and this is what I mean, there is a lot more to it than the graphics alone.

So I have the retail copy in my mitts, but it won't let me install as it's not released yet. Is there a way around this on Steam?
its 100% genuinely how that cow looks with the "high" textures, theres only low , medium and high.
ill try the game later with low textures and see if theres any difference
Most of the game, the landscapes and weather in particular look fantastic.
And I'm sure that there will be a better cows mod very soon
I made myself a Breton mage - I like to look human and not like a yellow snobby freak, and the high Elf magicka bonus isnt really that great, its just +50 magicka:
High Elf:
+50 Magicka
+25% (or 50%, not sure) magicka regeneration for 60s once per day
Breton:
+25% magic resistance
+50% spell absorpion for 60s once per day.
The magic resistance and spell absorption (one of the most powerful and expensive spells in earlier TES games) are a lot more useful.
And I'm sure that there will be a better cows mod very soon

People are using VPNs to unlock the game from an Australia or East Asia proxy, and then setting steam to offline so it doesnt lock it again.
I doubt its worth doing now with only a few hours left.
