The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim announced

Cheers for that but I also added a couple more questions seconds after I'd posted that:

1. When looking through my items list at all the weapons, lets say I had many swords, axes, maces etc, I struggled to workout which were 1h and which were 2h, does it have a symbol somewhere to state which is which?
2. I have those two default spells from start of the game, think I am night elf or something and have that electric bolt and a fire bolt, is it possible to duel wield two fireballs or two electric balls instead of one of each?

Thanks in advance :confused::)

1. The big-ass swords, axes and hammers are dual, the smaller ones aint! :p
2. Yep.

1. I've only been playing for a bit, only way I can tell the difference is the 2h pictures are slanted, the 1h are shown vertically straight.
2. Yeah you can duel weild the same spell, and get a overdrive bonus if you have the perk for it.

Really annoying that you can't reset perks. I hope there is a mod for that soon.

type
showracemenu
in the console :D it lets you repick the race again and resets your perks , the mgicka/health/stamina options when you levewl up get spread out between the 3 without any choice though

. A powerful mage that uses weapons aswell (I think) - a spellsword will only use swordsand magic.
conjurer can summin swords and battleaxes magic ones :D

Should I be playing this with a mouse or xbox pad??

I'm very tempted to use the pad but my pc fanboy voice is telling me not to, I need confirmation it is a better experience with the pad :p

Much, MUCH better experience with the pad IMO.

I use a bow, finding the 360 pad fine :) granted mouse and keyboard were better, only downside of a pad is it takes me longer to get a "lock" on my target at distance.

how is it compared to the witcher 2?

I think its better.

Its a cross between Oblivian and Fallout 3. But So much better.

I'v only played 2 hours so far, but its awsome.

Its basically an much improved Oblivion. The new engine is no where near as buggy or glitchy as Fallout 3 or Nv was.

ITs a must buy if you like RPG's!

The problem with the Witcher 2 which was excellent as well, is it didnt fell particularily fleshed out.

Also the rpg genre loves Dungeons and dragons, even thos is cliche and stale now. But I think Skyrim nails it!

Its so much more fun leveling in Skyrim!

Does anyone know how to craft hide armour?

I have bee doing some smithing mini-quests and I am asked to make a hide helmet.

In the forge I only seem to have the option to make leather armour, not hide armour. What should I be using to craft hide?

You make the leather on the tanning thing, and then take it over to the forge and there's an option at the top called "HIDE". You have to talk to Alvor after you make the leather first though.
