- MoRT489I've had the issue where it just says joining forever, I normally use task manager to kill bf3.exe after a minute or so, and then try again.
Im thinking of rush - but admitidly its the only map I havnt played with a strong attackign squad, Great fun to play with 3 point conquest
So was I.
I don't mind the conquest version until you get stuffed on the side that spawns outside and no one on your team can shoot back. I've seen players with k/d ratios of 2, but when you check their battlelog results you can see how they do it, they always play with their squad of friends meaning that just like in cs clan servers of clans stacking a side could easily beat joe public.
I bought on day of release, so they release content that has to be paid for under 2 months since release. Takes the **** i think.

Think I'll wait till it's a few bob after the first couple of weeks have passed, maybe it will be in their xmas sale like vietnam was for only £3.50 or so.

Usually, if I get the problem "BF3.exe has stopped working", I will just close BF3 in the task manager and re-join the server and it’ll be fine.
Weirdly, it only happens on the first-launch of a server. I can change server as many times as I like and nothing

Thats what used to happen to mine only when i first tried to launch it, but since a couple days ago i keep getting it and cant play the game!!!
I understand how they work but they require at least two direct hits, the same as slugs and weaker than buckshot, they added suppression and splash damage is kind of what they're supposed to do and it takes nearly all your ammo to kill with splash damage, that's assuming you can shoot at the right spot.
Something being different to the normal guns doesn't make it overpowered, you even said it yourself it's not like it's easy to rack up large killstreaks using them.

smogsy server seems to best for ocuk. had some good games. nm which was full on bc2 is empty..only bronken and smogsy seem populated these days. gah stuck at tvp in reading but looking at those pics make me want to game now!

Nope, looks way better than anything we have in standard BF3, maps looks to be faithfully recreated from BF2, yeah there is some differences between them but it stll looks good with up to 7 flags and conquest assault which makes a change from the max 5 clustered flag limit in BF3 and all on conquest head-on mode, it got boring real quick.
Back to karkand 100% looks like it is built for PC first and not console like most of the clustered BF3 maps, take Gulf of Oman for example, on PC we have 7 flags and on console it only has 3. That is how it should be done when designing maps for 24 players on console and 64 on PC. Standard BF3 maps don't go well with 64 players at all.
I'm still getting the problem where the game hangs after "Saving..." between rounds. Sometimes it will load new maps, otherwise the screen just stays black and I have to kill bf3.exe and start again

I don't think they can be in the same rotation can they, what about if I'm playing Metro and it changes to Karkand and I don't have it - will it just boot me from the game? I think it's more likely to be seperate rotation for BF2 maps only.
Been confirmed as in same rotation as standard BF3 maps so if you don't have B2K you will be kicked from server, but come on who is not gonna have it?
I've noticed this too. I had around 40 servers in my favourites list that were constantly populated, now only 3 or 4 have people on them - the numbers died off much quicker than I expected.
Does anybody remember the 50klicks servers from the BF2 days? Probably one of the most popular BF2 servers of all time; spent far too long and had some great fun on there with decent teamwork and firm but non-powercrazed admins. Didn't think they'd still be around but I found they do have a BF3 server, yet to see a single person on there though.

if you don't have it, you deserve to get kicked from the server...
edit and yes when i was at uni years ago i used to play on 50k server as OrangeNickg. maybe nickg07 i can't remember but i wssnt as good then as i am now..
