The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim announced

The first dragon shout is still the only one I use, throwing bears off mountains is just so much fun.

Although I have had several sad moments when I've realised I've got to trek down a mountain to go get the loot :p
 
Am I the only one who's equipped black mage robes and dual sparks magicka then gone to find a bandit and unleash duel sparks on him while sat there saying "goooood gooooood" like the emporer from star wars??

Only got up to the first town last night and I think I'm hooked. It looks pretty good visually!

Went with the guard at the start instead of the thief guy, don't know if that impacts the game in any major ways.

Gonna be a BAMF male orc warrior
 
This is ridiculous. Not only has my wife got into the closed beta proper for swtor but I have just been sent a Diablo 3 beta invite... gonna give work a ring.. sorry can't come in today too many games to play!!

Mind you, I don't think I'm going to be playing anything much but Skyrim for a while yet, this game is just too good:D
 
So I have just happened across an code to spawn any item in the game, and a list of item codes for everything.

Temptations.......... :P

Will be handy for anything that I can't find after spending ages trying!
 
Might seem like a dumb question, but how do I unlock the other shouts? I have the force shout and have that unlocked, but I have also found the Ice power word, I have 1 dragon soul showing as available (have killed 2 dragons in total) , but when I try to unlock Ice it just says that I need dragon souls to unlock words...do some shouts cost more than 1 soul? Or am I missing something?


EDIT : AHHHH wait...just found out, its apparently because I have redefined my keys, so the R to unlock key no longer works despite it showing as R to unlock, I have to use the key I redefined my Ready/Sheathe Weapon to. Doh.

Thanks, but I've already tried that fix, it didn't change anything. :( It's still crashing to desktop on load. It gets to the main menu fine, but then crashes when I try and load any game.

Apologies if I seemed to be asking a repetitive question, but after several hours of Googling, trying all the fixes I've read, and even reinstalling, i'm still without Skyrim. :'(

Have you tried running the game in window mode?

It seems only neccessary for the first group you want to join , personally iv used it once and thats it - just doesnt seem to fit with the rest of the game to be honest as you rarely get well rested with it.

plus later side quest events render it useless anyway
