99 times out of 100 when i'm killed by somebody with an IRNV scope its in a position that they could have seen me from anyway, even without the night vision.

Besdies, the people who rely on it will find themselves stuck when there are loads of level 45 colonels running round in Spec Ops black cammo which blocks your heat signature from these guns.

Personally i think it made me perform worse. I'm rarely up in people's faces, i play as recon/engineer and so for me i have little use. Rather stick to my scopes with zoom.

its a check where people are scope, and for my playstyle it works wonders.

As much as i dont really like BC2 it had much better maps than BF3 does. Would be nice to have some Jungle maps, better desert maps and town/city maps that dont bore you after 5 minutes.

The IRNV with the 200 round machine gun is a joke tbh, a mate I play with uses it and he just rips it up!

Out of principle I dont use it, RDS, HOLO or Iron sights all the way, Im not a fan of zoom on anything tbh *shurg*

For some reason, I prefer using the 3.4x scope pretty much on most of my weapons.

I still haven't try the irnv with machine gun, my favorite setup is the RPK-74M+3.4x scope + supressor = )

To be honest I really don't care about all this IR scope and RPG spam malarky, the game is just sensational! When playing in a good squad (say last night on the smogsy server with Bapland, ak22, verco [sp?]) you forget about these little things to whine at as they really don't matter. In a great squad you just kick ass anyway and are too busy having a great time.

Same time tonight ladies, let's get some good squads going. I need to get levelled up so I can be more useful!

suppressor reduces long damage..why would you scope to 3.4 and add a suppressor?

To reduce the recoil and medium range with a 3.4x scope.

Suppressor stops you showing on minimap, could be that.
Also tbh, it doesnt make it that much less accurate at all, for the 2-3 dmg per bullet it reduces at 40m+
Although, one of the loading screen tips says it reduces recoil for aimed shots.

According to the tips, the suppressor only affects hip firing accuracy.

I'm also an expert Engineer in real life and in game, hence my stunning skills at crouching behind a tank and repairing with just a click of the mouse. It's not as easy as it sounds

Play the game its designed to be played.
I changed my playstyle sicne Bf1942, then to bfV, then to Bf2142, then to Bf2, and then to BC2 where people just logged when I came with the shitgun and CG, and now to Bf3 with the asus12 and exploding shells and sharp edged knife.

The game design decides a lot how to play the game in spite of principles.
BF3 is a joke to any fps gamer, its a hilarious we cant make design good at all dice we suck at even get the UI right.

still, enjoy a ton of fun with my friends.
we are after all legends.

oh man the amount of time i nade myself trying to knife someone is unreal... always press 'g' its a dyslexic thing... get it wrong once and its ingrained in my head...

why can't i bind the middle mouse button to knife ?

it doesn't work for cheap items like Back to Karkand said to cost $15 as I already own BF3 so...

I use the suppressor with a short and long range scope [alternating obviously] and i find that killing them is still fine with it enabled. I use it anyway because once you light up on the map, everyone seems to turn to your direction and unleash hell towards you.

what mouse you got, tried loading software to key bind to the mouse buttons ?
