The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim announced

If your companion gets replaced by a quest companion it seems they just go back to where you initially met. You can ask them to follow you again.

Still really loving the game but getting sick of James Woods popping up everywhere i go!;)

Also, i have loads of journal entries that i can't remember starting, it would have been better if they had put in a header that at least told you where you picked up the quest. "Deliver xxxx to xxxx" I can't remember who these people are! This will no doubt be a part of a UI mod.

Im curious how are you people splitting your level up stat increase, I heard there are people who are playing as mages who aren't adding any to their magicka due to enchanting. I'm playing a stealthy assasin and I went for 150 magicka, 200 stamina and the rest to health.

I've done 200 Magicka, then 150 health, then some Stamina.

How are you guys levelling up so fast? I have been on my Mage for 5 hours and only level 2 (about 2/3's of the way through that level) I am half way through the Mage quests without any side ones done or even collected.

Doing things like smithing, enchanting and alchemy to make armor boosts you around 20 odd levels. That would be fine as after 50 leveling is slow as hell but the crafting trivialises the game even on top difficulty.

OK so if I go and practise these things I will level up. Does that make questing a bit easier or do they level with me. reason why I am asking is I have a quest to do for the Mages where I have to collect some stolen books or something, I went to the location and there were some high powered Mages who handed my ass on a plate. Will it be easier for me to kill them or like I said will they level up to whatever level I am next time I see them?

Level 28. Starting to really get into it. Although the dwarven ingots for levelling smithing is useless. You may as well stock up on iron ingots and leather and create iron daggers, you need to use iron with the dwarven armor anyhow.

How come people are levelling their smithing up so quickly?

Pay for training, and do lots of Alchemy / Smithing / Enchanting.

Make low level rubbish stuff, sell for profit, buy training and materials / ingredients.

No idea how others are doing it, but smithing is needed to make high end armor, plus enchanting to make it useful, and alchemy makes potions that increase smithing + enchanting.

You dont need to fill all three up fully, just the perks that get you to dragon armor, and whatever makes enchants and potions more powerful.

bc its a good easy skill to have and level - so why not? I got to 90 in 2 days and will be 100 tonight, all you need is cash. Doing quests to get cash mean that your weapons or magic are ok for the level raising.
