Have you tried the BeQuiet Dark Power?

ax 750 purchased today

initial impressions, nice unit, beautifully built
much nicer quality than my hx850

modular cables are superb, fan is non existent until bf3 has been in full swing for a few minutes. excellent choice in my opinion

AX850 here, had a noisy one first but the shop swapped it out for me. New one is silent, was the no fan at idle that really clinched it for me. JonnyGuru is the place for all things psu, he's the best reviewer out there

Agreed Jeffy, though they don't focus so much on the noise issue, but certainly do best range of testing, always use JG in conjunction with others for noise side of things, but JG give you best performance indicator

You gonna have to order it from someone else. I had my eyes dead set on one, but they are hard to come by as they are very popular and relatively low production volumes (made in US as well, iirc). Their Platinum series is set to be the next standard. Don't expect them to come out cheap.

Expensive though, so had to settle for a AX850. Very nice unit, very cool black sleeving and cables, and 7 year warranty, plus it was cheaper by a fair margin, so in the end, I called it a win. No issues of noise or anything, well chuffed.

Completely over the top for my uses, but I like PSUs

You made a good choice imho - this was the unit I wanted rather than the 850, but you were oos for ages , so got the 850 vers instead - well pleased with it though.
