I had both a dog and Lydia follow me around, one was for a specific quest though, so I dont know if it would work for random companions, why dont you try it and find out.

Nope. The new one will replace the old one, who will go back to either your house or the place you recruited them.

I dunno. Theres something thats so satisfying about hacking and slashing at your enemy and then a special attack triggers, grabbing the guy and shoving your sword right through his belly and out his back. Then dropping him like the sack of **** he is!

Would highly recommend it if you are getting CTDs all the time.
I used to normally CTD once I minimized it a few times, but since doing that 2gb fix, I haven't noticed any C2D either.

Definitely. The orc's berserker power makes it even more amusing. Can drop about 8 guys in 30 seconds. Just left with a lot of headless corpses and an orc breathing rather heavily

there is a mod out which adjusts the controller text file to allow you to have up to 7 hotkeys on the xbox controller d-pad now. its out on skyrimnexus. imo the controller works better on skyrim.
Oh that sounds like just the ticket then!
I think the controls work better on the xbox with these types of games but lots of keys on a keyboard is handy to!
Hey guys, I've just reached level 10 and I've been really enjoying the game so far. However I want to ask which direction I should be headed in. It's taken me hours upon hours to find some suitable quests where I don't come up against someone that kicks my arse! I've found leveling to be very confusing so far.
Just run away.
A snow bear was threatening to kick my arse yesterday, so I sprinted backwards until it ran into some npc, and I threw lightning bolts at it whilst it killed them.
Won eventually, and got a lot of loot from said npcs

Am I only the only one who has stuck with the very first companion you get at the very beginning of the game, Faendal the Elven archer?
I'm 33 hours in and he's stuck by my side the whole way!
It's great having an archer as a companion when you are a melee character.
I've had some awesome moments with Faendal, one memorable one was where I'm fighting a 'boss' like character with tonnes of skeleton minions who were just an annoyance. While I'm smashing away at the boss character, Faendal is just standing back one shotting every skeleton minion with his bow preventing them from getting in my way while duelling it out with the boss and I was just watching the skeletons drop left right and centre around me.

I have Lydia as my companion. She's quite good. Gets knocked down a fair amount, as she likes to run in and smash things with an axe.
Still, overall, she is ok.

I found a dude in a dungeon and he has been my trusty companion since so far I am level 28.
The first 2 I had died so I have given this one much better gear and he has fought loads of baddies with /for me.
I don't know what his specialty is so I have made him an archer / warrior.
His name is darkeethus or something like that.
Does crap a brick when a dragon pops up most of the time but hey nobody's perfect
