The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim announced

If anyone didnt know - after you finish the thieves guild you need to complete a bunch of the heist/whatever jobs, after 5 in a city you get a new non random quest. After 4 of those quests you get initiated as the new leader.

Aimed to go to bed at half 10... Only just got off Skyrim... Done the Mage quest line though.

Dragons really didn't like the Mage College today - had two dragons land in the college (or on the towers) - but it does now have some nice decorations :)

Mage rewards are epic!

As for Morekei, he seemed to bug and glitch out on me. Just refused to attack me, so I just hacked at him a lot and he died. Didn't hit me once xD

Nice videos, Skeeter. Keep 'em coming; you kind of owe me since I was one of the dudes that helped advise you on purchasing a new graphics card. :D :D Seems to run it very well. :)

I have ran into a problem with enchanting.

I can't seem disenchant for a better version of the same enchanment

I have now a enchanment that is +15% two handed damage.

But I have also found some armor with 25% two handed damage.

I can't seem to disenchant the 25% one as I already have disenchanted the 15% one from when I was lower lvl :(

I must be missing some thing here or I am stuck at 15% for this toon?

Thanks for any help guys.

As far as I can tell it doesn't matter how much the item had, it's the type of enchantment you learn that matters. Then it's your enchanting skill level/perks + buffs (from pots etc) that increase your "amount" of the certain enchant that you put on an item.

Having a real issue with the College quest where you have to collect books. I only figured out how to dual-wield spells around lv5, lv8-ish now and I've done little else but the mage quests and noticed that recently my spells just don't seem to cut it - low damage, high mana drain, frequently finding myself switching out to a 2h warhammer and cracking skulls in exasperation (which, despite my never using them or spending any points in them, prove much more effective). General tactic against the casters I'm facing has been to try and stealth them with a double lightning bolt, then switch to ward/bolt combo to finish them off, but it's been tough throughout this dungeon and now the final boss keeps owning me - hard. I can't see a way to even get close to killing her - any tips?

How are people getting the numbers they're posting about, where is this information in-game?

Like people will say I did 600 damage with one swing of my dagger, or I have 500 mana or 250 health or I got crit for 800 and stuff like that?

I dont see any numbers in my game, is there a combat log somewhere?

Thank you very much :D

I thought I was ******* then for a second lol I see the light now woop woop :D

Cheers.

Anyone know what they are referring to when he starts talking about importing Morrowind in to Skyrim? Sounds cool but I don't know what he is referring to... is that happening? :)

It's Morrowind into Oblivion.

http://morroblivion.com/

It's an oblivion mod, kinda, which allows you to play Morrowind using the Oblivion engine, it requires both games to work.

Maybe someone will do it someday for other TES games into Skyrim but if I recall, they had issues with Bethesda at first and had to replace loads of things for it to be allowed. Dealt with now but still, it's something that will take a long time if anyone decides to do it.

Just decided to start a new character, playing a Mage this time, have to say it's quite fun, the only thing that annoys me is the pathetic rate that Magicka regens at, Stamina for a melee character is fine because although you can't power attack when you run out you can still actually attack, when a mage runs out of Magicka, you either have to use a potion/racial power or run away.

Might have to either find a mod for it or wait for the Geck and change it myself.

Well, I got home at about 7. And now it's 3am. Hmmm.
What a game :) I'm sure I'm doing it wrong. I made a ... breton? Maybe? I don't know. I seem to be quite awesome at magic and crap at hitting things, so i went with magic. Just been to learn how to do dragon shouts. Runs amazingly well, and looks great. At least I think so. I'm not bored yet, anyway :D

ive been picking master locks all game long with no points in lock picking..

takes a few lockpicks but they arent exactly in short supply anyway

Same here.

It is a shame you have to give it back, but I think I will cope fine without it.

One think that wasn't clear to me though - does the S-key allow you to open ANY lock, e.g including those that you come across that require a key and cannot be picked. If it can, then it would obviously be worth hanging on to.

^ LOL

Just enchanted some armour and a helm, ring and necklace with Fortify Destruction 24% (best I can get without perks in Alchemy to make enchanters potion better) :D

Can spam my firebolts and fireballs like a crazy **** now, pew pew pew, and still have magika free to conjure up my flame wench or iceberg and then steal their souls

Just need to get enchanting to 100 and I can put an extra enchant on them all, was thinking resist magic 96% but I have yet to find something with that on that I can DE. Also need to find some boots with increase carry on so I can DE them too.

This enchanting malarky is so much fun!
