Do you think that it would last for the following use? 4 hours combination of 3g browsing, video, music and games alongside say 18 hours idle with intermittent checking for texts etc. (essentially - fully charge at night which then lasts me until the evening. Charging would ideally stop at night) How much battery would that leave me with?

Currently I manage that on my Magic with enough left over for another hour or two of video.

pretty much yeah, the video and gaming is what will eat the battery really, if i'm out about and about i wont bother gaming as i know it will drain me badly. but its the same on all super smart phones, intense use like video and gaming will draw the power.

If it's possible it's in the settings > locale and text > keyboard settings, not got my tester to hand sorry so if this is out look for a similarly named option :)

I've had a good look in my settings and I cannot see anywhere to enable predictive text in the browser. I hope there is an option or a 3rd party app for this as it is something that myself and others need really.

Volume+ does the trick for the volume issues very very well.

Lightflow also gives you full management of the LED which again is very very useful and really essential if your phone is on silent like mine most the time.

The only other gripe I have is the not-so-crystal-clear image you get when your phone is on a lower brightness setting.

Dice Player also plays 720p MKV files brilliantly. I also manage to play a 1080p sample back brilliantly as well, even though I'm not sure this is possible? (The file must have not been true 1080p?).

What else.... Facebook sync sync doesn't work right but Friendcaster does and it also gives you more notification options and looks sort of better than the facebook app so I'm trying that for a bit.

The white balance is rubbish indoor. Outdoor the photos are crisp, clear and sharp. the Zero lag is TOO fast sometimes and results in some shots being out of focus.

These are the bad points... The good points aren't really worth mentioning as there are too many!! I'm absolutely in love with this phone.

Oh, let me add that the native music app is brilliant and the UI is a vast improvement of any other I've seen on any android device.

Can I ask other owners to check something please.

When I look at the power bar widget (with screen brightness, sync etc). Even on full brightness and scroll so it moves from left to right, I can see what appears to be a slightly grainy layer on top, which doesn't scroll with the widget, if you know what I mean?

imaging there's dust on the screen - Obviously this wouldn't move when scrolling - It's the same type of effect, only it's internal and it's grainy. It's not noticeable on black, but against the blue of the ocuk forum, I can notice it.....

This must be something to do with the way the phone processes mid to dark colours...

Any one experiencing the same? You need to look HARD to see it.

I know. I have an account with Gmusic but am unable to sync on DHD...wanted to know if it will work on GN...maybe it will on rooted ?

Oh sorry bud. Not 100% sure. I think it's due to the IP address being registered and since your DHD will pick up a UK address, maybe this is why? Maybe I'm speaking rubbish!

TechRadar review in:

4/5 stars. Not as good as I was expecting (I know it doesn't mean much but was still expecting more). Although the review seems very short for what they have done in the past

That is very much below their normal standard of reviewing. Seems very odd.

Maybe they were upset about something.

Just saw this -

Plus, for a PMP as well a phone, we'd have liked to have seen a better camera – this one has very limited options despite taking some excellent snaps (which we'll bring you shortly once we've completed our in-depth test).

So it's more of a pre-review sort of thing.

After searching this issue, XDA members have reported some lines and 'dirt' under their screen. It appears as though this is common with samoled screens..... Oh well. Hardly a show stopper and definitely not what appears to be a defect, just a little disappointing it's not as clear as it is on brighter colours or black.

The lack of SD slot definitely seems to annoy them. This wouldn't be an issue for me though.

OK I suppose that does explain things. However their comment on the camera does seem to counter the general opinion so far, that is, the software for the camera on ICS has improved greatly (more features etc), but it's the quality of the snaps lets it down occasionally. Strange!

Oh,

Also, when switching my phone off, I don't get the TV effect and I cannot find this option within the settings. Can someone direct me to it please?

Seems more and more issues are coming out, worryingly for me, to do with the screen. Is this really too muchmoney for this phone?

not really, you can get them new for £310 now even cheaper via cash back deals, mine also had a small scuff on the top. i think i would have got around £300 on ebay, but then seller fees and so on, listed on gumtree and sold within 3 hours.

It sold within 3hrs because it's too cheap. Could've got £300 for it.

I didn't realise flash wasnt working on ICS, and a whole number of other apps. Think i'll be upgrading in 6+ months when it's had time to mature.

My issues are slight issues. The good points definitely outweigh the bad. The screen is bright, the colours onpoint. Text is crisp and clear. Photos and videos appear beautifully on the screen. 720p videos are amazing. So clear they almost appear 3d. I've not seen a screen that looks so nice as this one.

The only gripe is what I posted above. It's almost like screen burn...

I'm listing issues purely because I think it's more beneficial to address these rather than what the phone is good at.

One issue which is annoying but I'm sure it's a software issue is -

When watching Youtube and also the default Android video player, the video spans over the 3 buttons at the bottom. When watching video through a 3rd party, this doesn't happen. I'd quite like more control about what spans the whole screen, rather than having those 3 buttons (either as buttons or little dots) always showing, even when playing video.
