I have nades mapped to F and med pack mapped to C. Although nothing serious has happened yet (hardcore) this is probably not the best mapping to have thinking about it.

I would give anything for a button like Y on an xbox controller to switch to my pistol on PC. I've never, no matter what I can bind it too, successfully switched to my pistol when I've needed it.

I hope they reduce the power of the F2000 slightly, Tone the Flashlight down a good 50% and nerf that infrared-noobvision scope

Try using the mouse wheel, Seems the quickest way to me.

nerfing is not the answer, all it does it push the whine to a different gun / class. Eventually you end up with everything being rubbish. IMHO the weapons were more or less balanced within reason pre patch, there was / is no need to keep fiddling with them and pandering to the whims of people who cant over come obstacles.

I've got weapon 2 bound to my "left alt" and a macro that has bound key press "1" to a thumb button on the razer. I can switch between gun and pistol in the blink of an eye

the f2k is retardedly good. its like you die instantly to the first salvo every time - sometimes it feels like the first bullet does it. im not a whinger but that gun rankles me something rotten.

Its not as good as the AEK though in almost all situations.

It's not so much whinging but just fact that the F2000 wipes the floor against any other carbine, which puts someone who only plays 5hrs per wk at a huge disadvantage in a firefight. Bit unfair for the people who cant dedicate 5hrs per day to this game to be the canon fodder of the students and stay-at-home dads!

I much prefered BF2's unlock system where u actually put some thought into what u wanted to unlock and if u screwed up the choice, it was another 20,000 points till u could get another one! Having to rank up each gun is just annoying.

The amount of health packs and ammo crates I've thrown at people with this current method tells me its not the way forward, unless I could limit it to just cycling between rifle and pistol, even then id only cycle straight back to my bulletless gun

I have recently bought a Coolermaster Sentinel Z3RO-G 5600dpi OLED Gaming Mouse and that has all these macro key bind things....but I don't have a clue how to use them. Can anyone give me an idea please, maybe like am example, because there's nothing in these that tells me what to do, just the options to set. As it stands button 4+5 are unused and I would at least like to try and accommodate them if possible.

Dont bind it to cycling, bind it straight to the slot, so mwheel up is bound to your pistol mwheel down is bound to one of your gadgets or your main weapon. It doesnt matter how many times the wheel clicks up, it will still go to the pistol (not tried this in bf3 but it has worked in every other fps ive tried)

Like I said though (although maybe its just me) but I think its a worse gun than the AEK in every situation. The EAK has a higher ROF and has virtually no recoil.

Is it true if you quit a game during play you lose all your points?

I disagree with the nerfing as each advantage had to be earned but usually there is always a defence against it which can be earned as well

Planes and helis now have a major advantage and a good pilot with loads up upgrades could always rule the skies even against a fully loaded AA.

Playing tanks on levels with good pilots now is no fun as it's a tank massacre unless your side has good pilots as well to keep the planes and helis away from you.

You may as well lob potatoes at the heli's.

I got disconnected during a game (slightly different to quitting I know!) and lost all my kills/points for that game - I guess this is slightly different?

ah OK cool thanks. I was on a server doing well as RUS and we had 4/5 of the flags. Was 3rd in team of 32 and get moved to USA! So I quit with disgust.

Installed the patch last night, and now I can't play

Just keeps freezing/crashing after about 1minute of play. Worked before the patch (well it would sporadically crash here and there lol).
Is anyone else having such issues?
