*** The Elder Scrolls 5 - Skyrim Official Thread ***

I keep wandering into this thread for a read and it's torture. I love Obliviou/FO and want to buy this so badly but I think my sister has got it me for Xmas :p :(

For this game I could'nt wait for christmas, if I were you I would confront her and DEMAND to know if she got it for you, if not great buy it staright away, if she dose have it, force her to give it to you NOW!!!!!!! lol :p

So what happens when you run out of Misc quests and main quests? I'm comming very close to finishing everything in my log now, I guess I'll just have to hunt around, talk to more people for quests to do?

Cheers

Is it just me or dose the games AI seem to get harder all of a sudden. Im level 32 and I now seem to have gone from being God like, to get getting my ass handed to me by almost eveyone.
Im downing potions like it was a boozey weekend and a lot of the times it seems to be pretty hard to get to use your heal magic as your getting chased at the same time.
I have spent a lot of time getting my smithing level up and my strongest weapon is about 63 damage with 18 fire damage.

I take it my weapons are just pants at this stage. Im trying not to change any of the weapons or upgrade them yet as I want to get the Dragon armour first then work from there, or am I going the wrong way about it?

Im trying the Azuras shrine quest and the mage is seriously kicking my ass in literaly seconds :(

I always upgrade when i can if there is a decent stat boost. You can always sell your better gear once you upgrade to Dragon armour.
I am at a similar level to you (31) and i have full legendary ebony armour and a legendary ebony warhammer with 88 damage and 22 fire damage.
I also have a good staff weapon which summons a pretty strong ally :D so i usually use that first to thin the numbers a bit before storming in.

There are:

Companions Main Questline / Side Quests
Thieves Guild Questline / Side Quests
Dark Brotherhood Questline (as long as the main quest)
Mages Guild / College Questline / Side Quests

Loads of story driven and short quests in every Town/City
Quests in Every City to Reach Thane so you can buy a house

Quests in Dungeons
Radiant AI short quests or tips to visit places/kill bandit leaders
Daedric Shrine Quests (can take hours depending on which one)

Loads of other things to do.

Based on the content of my guide book, easily 200-300 hours to get all the quests listed done. Probably even more to explore all the dungeons/caves/forts/ruins and clear them, there are hundreds of the things

Leg-end, buy that man a few pints when you get paid :D

lol, no problem. Anything to assist you on your quest to become the ultimate dragon slayer or werewolf or whatever you're doing thesedays on Skyrim.

I must admit, for giggle last night, I actually started one of the main quests after the first scripted dragon. The quest following that actually sets you up well for the rest of the game. The places you visit nets you good money, good range of spells. swords and all sorts of gear I would have liked all those many levels ago!

I'm having trouble finding dragons. Got a lot of shouts that need unlocking but no souls!

They are usually in the mountain areas. There are also the dragon shrines and word walls outside which for me, the dragons keep spawning at, once the first one is killed.

I have to kill at least 1 or 2 every 3-4 hours of gaming. I have more souls than shouts at the moment. I also had enough scales and bones to make a full set of Dragonscale and Dragonplate armour and upgrade to legendry after 30 hours of gaming time.

You will also find, as the guide hints, that you are only supposed to unlock maybe 3-5 shouts in their entirety, since you need one soul per word (3 in total per shout). The most useful for me, which the player has to unlock are the Fire Breath, Ethereal Form and Throw Voice.

You do get some useful freebies as part of the main quests, not just unrelenting force which at full power is hilariously overpowered and with an Amulet of Talos recharges very quickly.

Ok so how many pages are we talking, are there pics and all? :D

It is 656 ish pages. Pages are A4 in size and text is 6-8pt. There are full colour drawings, images, maps and diagrams for most things, especially quests, characters, holds, cities, instances etc etc.

I have never seen a game guide like it. You also get a pull out A2 map with lots on it.

It's awsome! I also reckon worth quite a bit, even second hand. People will go nuts for these on the bay of E.

PHEW!!! Seriously cant thank my mate enough, 19 quid for this sounds like an absolute STEAL, cant wait to get my hands on it :D

Must say I've only got about 8 hourz of plodding through in (currently lvl8) but I'm already very impressed, its a bit difficult to know what to use to make potions but u might google for a guide or look around town as I seem to be wasting a lot of things.

I also made the mistake of selling my dragon bones and scales on a clearout of heavy items so I'm hoping there a few others to fight (from what ivr heard there is a few)
