***** The Official Galaxy Nexus Thread *****

After tmobile have made their gaff i've decided this is just too expensive anywhere, absolute cheapest I found was o2 on 18 months contract and its not anywhere near as good as my current one.

I may go look at the razr, when the guy brought out the nexus s I was gutted

Just been on to o2 retentions. Think i got an ok deal to stay. Bought phone outright for £390 and switched to sim only deal £11pm which gives me 300 mins, unlimited texts and 500mb data. Also won't have to pay the last £35 bill for remaining month as tariff is switched over immediately.

I think the wireless policy really needs an update, its good that it is on most of the time to save you data, but i think you should be able to setup a night time policy, you should also be able to set a data policy so that feeds update at 7am for example, with wireless coming on at 6:55. I found that with wireless on, you lose nearly 10% battery over night, with it off, around 4% as discovered previously.

Was a bit surprised when he offered the phone with that much discount I have to say. Made him triple check it was the galaxy nexus and not the nexus S or something. Fingers crossed this fix arrives soon or it will be going back!

Hopefully you'll get the right phone!

To be fair the volume issue isn't as bad as people are making out. I've had mine a week now (on giffgaff so using the O2 network) and i've only seen it happen a couple of times. Certainly not worth sending the phone back for.

Google Talk's video calls work perfect. I tried this with a friend who has a Nexus and it was surprisingly smooth and clear through wifi. 3G.. mehh, not so good!

Theres tons of apps on the market that do that sort of thing...

This is good to hear :) Like most things they get blown out of proportion. The guy on retentions reckoned that o2 have never stocked the nexus S so fingers crossed.

Yeah same here. I've only had it twice since I got the phone on Saturday and that was only very briefly. I can provoke it manually by trying to load a web page on 2G, but I've never actually needed to do that.
