1.5hrs of screen on time is easy on the batteries on almost all decent ROMs including stock though!

I'm currently on 1day 11 hours with 28% remaining and that's with 2hrs 45mins screen on time. Although that's with the extended battery!
 
Does anyone know why the price of this phone on a contract seem to be rising? A couple of months ago you could get a 12month contract with 1gb data for £30p/m + £99 upfront. Cant seem to get anything near that anymore.
 
My phones is starting to act slightly oddly:

Most of the time it is fine but a couple of times in the last 10 days it has thought it has a usb charger plugged in, once in this state it starts to drain power really quickly. Ive managed to stop it by pulling battery each time. Is this a software issue or hardware. I'm running Villain 3.0 and its been stable uptil now. Ive got a day off tomorrow so think I might do a wipe and reinstall to see if it improves.

If not I guess it will need repairing, though what could be wrong I'm not sure as it has been well looked after.

Any advice much appreciated
 
i can't choose a ROM.. im on villain rom at the moment but i've tried both cm7 and miui

miui just felt slow/odd all around and i did not find that "fun" just seemed like a huge mess of everything..

CM7 is nice but it has some bugs that annoy the hell out of me and bug my main apps.. so i would prefer to not use it

the VillainROM while having a very stock-ish/polished feel to it lacks in customization department and this is what i need.. any more recommendations?
 
Huh. Today, my phone lasted 8 hours from a full charge before it ran out of battery. I didn't use it to do anything, not even to send txt messages.

Any idea why?

It used to last a couple of days at least with a similar amount of use, I don't think I've changed any settings either...
Edit: Facebook is using a lot despite me not using it apart from a couple of times in the morning. Doesn't account for the massive difference though.

Edit2: Is it supposed to be 'awake' all the time?

Have you left yourself logged into facebook chat? No it's not supposed to be awake all the time, wake time should roughly match screen on time excpet a few times where the phone might wake up to sync things, it's the reason your battery drained so fast.

Can the GSII receive MMS messages?

Someone just tried to send me a photo and I just get a link to the T-Mobile website with a password to access the message there, which is somewhat inconvenient to say the least :/
