Quick question about labs

If i swipe and hold from the side of the browser you got the option to select tabs how do i close the tabs? With the laps option off you usually swipe off the tabs to close it?

Lift your finger on the popup key, rather than sliding it over further to select a tab.... then it will open the standard tab select screen where you can swipe away.

Has anyone else found Maps taking around 40% of battery usage over night? Only used 12% of total battery but it still seems odd.
