I thought you were drunk! You flew worse than I do.

oi  :D
wanna try again tonight or at the weekend? :p

had a good few rounds with greebo and volki last night. until i crashed out... AGAIN!

so much better when in a decent squad....

yeah had a couple of decent rounds, but should probably get on mumble or something one day. make stuff a lot easier.

i remember when i play at the weekend metro conquest  with a couple of mates and we were the US and managed to get all points including the cafe :D as soon as our squad left the spot and the rest of the team was still there, the other team would take it

edit: whoever this jonnyGLC (spelling???) is don't use the little bird as a taxi :(

I've also now unlocked the SV98 sniper rifle so I can see myself spending a heck of a lot of time now playing Recon. That gun is a so BOSS, the satisfying sound of it firing with the reload clip noise and comical running around of people you're firing at...superb.

Magazine! But I think you mean the bolt action anyway.

I just received a service star for my second to last recon weapon yesterday, the SKS. Was fun running around with that and the suppressor, sounded so good.

Magazine/Clip, same thing! All I know is it makes a nice noise :p

I will try the stealing of the tank trick next time!

I like flying the attack choppers in the Battlefield games, so I tried to make a decent run showing off my "skills". It's not a perfect run but I'd like to see more videos similar to this.

heres my version flying with WASD + ARROW KEYS :D
You may be good with a joystick, but can you perform a vertical landing and take off?

and for the LULZ landing on the enemies runway :D a plane spawned exactly as i touched down on my second landing though :(

this was all on an active 64 player server BTW!

Do snipers not get C4? A good rifle and C4 is all I need to be in fps heaven :p

After unlocking (and using) the SV98 I am not really sure what the fuss is about.

I have found the SVD to be better in nearly every Recon situation. It has lower damage but higher bullet speed and much faster rpm (obviously as it is semi-auto/auto). The SV98 would be great if it did the same amount of damage as the M98B - 95 vs 75.

The biggest problem with it is by the time you have reloaded the person you were firing at has buggered off / shot at you / killed you.

On a seperate note I had a great moment on Operation Firestorm last night. I was driving into the "warzone" from the US base and randomly started shooting in the direction of the enemy (as you do). On my second shot I hit a enemy recon camped right up on the highest tower of the refinery. Great moment as I wasn't expecting to actually hit anyone as I wasn't really aiming.

Unfortunately the match was marred by being spawn raped by the same person 5 times. The game for what ever reason decided spawning me right in from of the person who had just killed me was a good idea.

Looks good.

Any tips on flying. I just generally start leaning to one side then crash into the ground?

Find jets easy to fly but the choppers nigh on impossible!

What you want to do, is use A & D keys to rotate the tale and W & S ascend / decend, then use the mouse SLOWLY, to tip the nose up or down, depending on if you want to go forward, or tip backward.

When you have the nose down, you’ll need to accelerate using W to keep yourself from divebombing in to the floor :D

Only move the mouse left or right if you want the chopper to tilt / bank left or right. I’d actually advise you to forget about the tilt, until you get the basic controls down.

To hover just keep the crosshairs on the horizontal 0 and control the altitude using W and S again. IIRC you don’t need to throttle up or down when hovering, but obviously if you hover low expect someone to shove an RPG your arse!

I find helis easy to fly compared ot jets :( although, i was playing 4v4 on a 64 player map and i had lots of time to play around in the jet, once you get in the way of things its easy :)

I absolutely love guns like the SV98, it’s very powerful in the right hands and it brings me back to the oldem MoH:AA days when I used to mooch around with the German rifles, the bolt action reload is the main thing and then the sounds of the guns themselves – So good.

If you’ve spotted the enemy before you shot them then they will still be visible via the marker so when you reload and scope back at them yuo can fire again.

You should be aiming for one shot kills though. What I tend to do is spot them and team mates will then “loosen” them up a bit, so when you do hit them, if it’s not a head shot then it will be a kill shot because their health will be low.

That’s what sniping is all about :D

Apparently the PS3 recent patch has absolutely destroyed the IRVN, it only works at close range now…. Happy with that as I’ve had to resort to using it on some maps other wise you get wasted!

Sadly the IRNV nerf only plays into the hands of campers. If you move as a squad and take objectives (and actually try and win the round for your team) then it's now going to be much harder to spot the guy hiding in the plant pot whos been "defending" for the last 10 mins.

About attachments, I noticed a good few people using the heavy barrel, heres some numbers:

Heavy Barrel increases first bullet accuracy while aiming down a sight by 50% (sounds a lot but the first bullet is already pretty accurate anyway) while increasing spread while bursting by 50% and overall recoil by 20%.

Supressor also increases first bullet accuracy in the same way, by 50%, at the cost of decreasing accuracy while firing from the hip by 33.3% but doesn't increase the spread while bursting and actually reduces recoil by 10%.

Silencer + Foregrip + Scope of choice is the best combo for any automatic weapon.

Is this not what a MAV is for?

Failing that, a squad/team should be able to communicate enemy positions coherently enough - maybe it will force ppl to be more effective?
