I saw you online earlier. I think we killed each other a few times too :D

Got my first MVP ribbon on smogsy just now. Numbers dwindled to 4, then to 3 and I ran and got all the flags then sat flying the chopper about until the tickets ran out.

Weirdly the enemy guys didn't attempt to capture or kill :confused:

Hahaha I think I remember those.

I believe the limit was 7-1, then it would read the message "you have been banned from this server. Goodbye goodbye".

No crashes or problems since I patched, but then I only used to get the first round "bf3.exe stopped working" problem occasionally, so it never really affected me.
 
There's one thing that absolutely enrages me about this game - if I can't spawn on my squad mate because he dies just before I can spawn or the jet is taken before I can spawn; then why the ******* **** ***** ******* **** does it spawn me back at base?! Just don't spawn me! Let me choose again!

This winds me up too.

Also, why the hell cant you just click/double click on where you want to spawn on the map? Particularly in a squad which is spread out, I don't want to click their names to see where they all are - just want to click on their position on the map.

Even for normal spawns this would be logical - I want to spawn - >HERE<
 
having a hard time playing this now, finding it so hard to find teamwork and every single person is seemingly using IRNV which makes concealment and stealth impossible.
 
Do you prefer or disliek destruciton? iS it good or bad?

when you think about it. Destruction makes maps different off course.

In old maps you would have set places to hide or to go to. With destruciton perhaps that sniping spot on the roof no longer exists as the buildign is blown up?

Perhaps all the nice pretty buidligns are just a bunch of debris? Its not very pretty.

Do you think Destruciotn enhances and improves the experience or is just aesthetic but ruins maps?

I mean its exciting to blow things up at the start of the round but later its borign to be in a map with big holes and debris everywhere
 
I have no idea how to play this game having played MW3 for a few weeks now nearly every few days.... this really is a completely different kettle of fish. Feels more "simulation" like :)

I actually do prefer the feel of BF3 but just cant get into it for some

For example, (sorry for the noob questions) how the hell do you get things like laser sights? Is it something that is unlocked when you get to a certain level?

Is there some kind of levelling guide online about what you get at certain levels etc?

Oh I love the destruction, the amount of kills I get on seine crossing just blowing holes into building :D

check battlelog it shows update, and lets you know what upcoming unlocks you have coming.

also, from there check the weapons/stats page.

i don't mind that cos it gives you chance to find out if there under attack etc, as so few people spot or let people know there in trouble, although its fine if your squadding with people your viop'ing with.

Sorry if this has been posted before but it fixed my logging into BF3 mulitiplayer.

My origin game and cache directorys are on drive D

In Win7 x64 I deleted the entire battlefield 3 file from Documents
Reran the punk buster install in the origin/battlefied3 directory (Pbsvc)

Have just joined 4 different servers ... now off to work !

Dude, not ONE forum has the answers to this ****, and EA tech support people are useless monkeys.. I had the same issue and figured it out.. First, if you have a battlefield 3 file under "documents", delete it.. Next, go to where the game is installed.. Program files x 86 blah blah blah, Electronic Arts blah, Battlefield 3 more blah, Installer, Punkbuster... Once you're there, click on "pbsvc" and reinstall it completely.. It should run a test which SHOULD pass.. You MIGHT have to restart your PC before playing... I REALLY hope this works for you fellas... And if it does, send me a friend invite on **** Origin, the more friends the merrier right? Origin name is *******.... good luck..

Also how do you guys get together and play? How do I go about finding a group of fellow OCUK-ers and joining their server? (I have joined the OCUK #3 BF3 clan...

I so want to get into this game....

The Platoon's are pretty pointless... they do Jack**** apart from apparently representing them! Each platoon does show leader board stats within group. However with such a large amount of OCUK’ers it just doesn’t work.

There are plenty of servers to play on, just mostly all empty in the day… Except for ours ofc ;)

keep ya fingers crossed matey, seen an update for the next patch :

You should no longer spawn in home base if your selected spawn point is disabled while waiting to spawn (e.g. if your teammate dies right before you are about to spawn)

I have clicked repair install and it went through and checked all my files, no problems. Go to update, same problem.

Try to launch game without the update and tells me the game isnt installed. Had a bad day and just wanted to play some BF3, now feel like throwing my PC out the window.

Same thing exactly with my mate and I haven't managed to sort it yet. Have you managed to fix yours and if so how please?

He didn't play for a week and then it came up with game isn't installed. Tried the repair install and reinstall patch and it still says the game isn;t installed.

Damn annoying.
