when you redrop an ammor or medikit box after you move position the old one dissapears right?

and upon death do they dissapear also?

Yeah they do, although they survive even after their owner dies. But I guarantee you, goto a chokepoint, and just keep shoving those boxes out. You will see that the ammo boxes get used up very very quickly whilst the health boxes can last all the way through unless they get shot or are sent flying. ^^

Well guys do you prefer big servers or small

I think the problem with some maps is they are not designed well for 64 players especially metro.

I played metro tonight varied 12v12 to 22v22 at various points. And the whole map and all flags were open unlike 64 player when its all about flag B and stairway fights.

I think I really prefer lower player servers 8v8 to 12v12 sometimes 20v20. For many reasons.

1. Its not a spawn/die fest. You can stay alive for ages and move all over map and hide out.

2. You can go in various vehicles and be powerful and last a while

3. Its more strategic, with fewer enemies its about where you go when you go and what you use, its not just chokeholds with firefights constantly

4. I do much better. I get more points, always near top and better k/d ratio.

5. theres more variety in the game. Like a real war you can sneak about for ages and no fights then BOOM bump into the enemy and big firefight or a tank comes and your bricking it. on 64 players its constant fighting/dieing IMO

For me 64 player games or even 40-50 can be just firefights and chokeholds very often.

Play a map with less players its more intimate and strategic. I enjoyed it.

12v12 on larger maps just isnt enough. maybe on metro, but thats probably it.

64 is a bit too much. I just give up with stairway fights an defib the noobs. = silly points

Actually that just shows it takes you longer to adjust to the situation. With 32 players dying all around you, it takes quite a bit of thinking to figure out where is safe and where is just a meat grinder. You have to constantly scan around and still keep an eye on that mini map.

I just had a really good game with a Jet. Scored 9-0 not amazing but server didn't have many in and 2 of those kills was me spotting guys on the ground and just being able to shoot them! God knows what was going through their minds when they saw a jet shot them from above. A mouse is needed to aim right with a Jet.

Played on the Smogsy server earlier tonight when it was on Firestorm and was ripping the place up in my M1 Abrams and finished first! I don't have the game though on my battlelog. BF3 name is Tesslacoil with the [AVF] tag.

Found a really good method for hunting vehicles. Grab two tanks, each of you equip guided shell and hopefully you both have the CITV station open. One of you pops in the CITV station, lases something then the other person uses guided shell. Then you swap over positions in your own tank and do the same. Obviously works best of you're on mumble or something but we were ripping choppers out of the sky and everything. With the balance changes giving an instant destroy for a main tank round this could be very powerful indeed. Hopefully more people will use Javelin as well.

its harder but its not something that can be learned that much its harder because reality is with 30+ opponents you can be shot at from all angles, snipers, tanks etc...its hard in fact impossible to know whats fully going on around you.

With less players you have more space, its not so frantic, you can see whats going on without being shot.

Often on the 64 player games depending on map I just spawn and die without getting a chance to cap a flag or get an m-com

on 12v12 for example, its easier to cap flags and get into mcoms obviously.

For some maps and some times I like more players but often I just die to much and I dont even know where the enemy is when i die. Sometimes I spawn and then BOOM im dead. It sucks.

ANd in tanks etc..on 64 pplaers many dudes got rpg and tanks blow up as soon as you are in them, not effective. With less players and less rpgs about tanks can be very effective and helicopters to.

Because they are there on your screen. Example.

Player A dives behind cover.

Player B. Sees still sees player A as stood up, shoots him.

Player A is killed because he's been killed stood up on player B's screen despite being behind cover on his screen.

I've tested this with mates in ts. Sometimes there's over a second disparity between you being in cover and people seeing you go prone. It's occasionally very fast but not always.

Yep.

I had some close action with my saiga with frag rounds, killed the guy, ran 4 paces then dropped dead suicide from the splash damage from the frag rounds nearly 2 seconds after it all happened.

dOES ANyone else view metro as a levelling up map lmao

Every time I wanna gain xp for medic or support I fire up metro. thats only reason I play that map

Read the patch notes. Some tweak long over due and hopefully fixed the frequent crashes. But what have they done to the mines? They had it perfect in bc2 then **** it up twice in bf3 20s live time what's the ruddy point.

I really do wonder sometimes

lmao

well I was gonna say rainbow six or some other semi sim type shooter?

But anyway on normal you get 3-4 clips worth and can kill 1-2 bad guys per clip lmao

I'm doing ok though on BF3. I'm not setting servers alight with awsome skill but its the fps that I am best at without a doubt. I only really play assault / engi and most kills are from being on foot.

Just took the heavy barrels off my kit roll out and they have clearly been having a negative impact on how I play.

Been playing squad death match last night and....

When did they start putting an LAV on the map ?? It ruins it imho.

Why am i seeing blue players? i thought the whole point was it was 4vs4vs4vs4vs4 etc...

It seemed to all be fine when i played it at release but this time its just FUBAR.

SQDM always had a vehicle in BFBC2 and that worked OK. I think though it's harder in BF3 because less classes can have tank busting load-outs. Provided some people take Engineer or Support then the LAV doesn't last long. Squadding up is broken in SQDM and Squad rush at the moment and was fine before the last patch. Actually I wonder if it's going to be fixed this week with the new update as I fancy playing some SQDM and Squad Rush but not in it's current broken state. Maps are a bit large in SQDM though. The entire Grand Bazaar is too big for 16 players.

TDM doesn't have a vehicle and smaller maps too. Play that.

Ammo box lasts about 1000th of the life time of a health box, I swear! If the health boxes were indestructible I bet they would still be there after the BF3 war was over. :D

 needs buffed with increased capacity and lifetime. Also supplying through the wall/floor needs sorting lol.

The ammo boxes have a certain amount of contence which gets distributed to the surrounding players. However since people call for ammo only when they're out then they tend to use up a whole ammo box to themself.
