Javelins can lock onto aircraft when used in conjunction with soflam/3rd seat tank...I use both of these and always hop into a tank, that's 2up, as it trundles by....was in one couple of nights back with a Jimbu and Krug n co.....thing is, the guy with guided missile doesn't always know where the lock on is, we had the battle copter locked on above our tank the other night and Jimbu didn't know it. Half the time I notice a lot of people don't carry javelins or use the tank guided missiles, even when you type chat that you are painting for them.

bomber planes were class. Also Nepalm bombs in bf:veitnam.

We should have that and Id like to see some kind of cehmical bomb as well as flashbangs and gas grenades. And an EMP bomb to disable tanks etc..

For example, a plane copuld drop a gas bomb which makes all players in area screen blurry and fuzzy and slowed down movements similar to a flashbang I guess. Players could have gas mask perk to prevent this. Also players should get gas grenades you can launch into a room, area and make similar effect, or also flsahbangs.

PLane that dropped EMP bomb also that automatically disabled all electronics and vehciles such as tanks in the area would be cool.

ANd nempalm bomb that just causes big fire damage would be cool.

A standard explosive bomb also cool.

Just some ideas

had a great game on Oman tonight and playing with good sqauddies makes the diff.

Was just 2 off us but we went round Oman in viper destroying all tanks, then had shots in tanks capturging points.

We finished top 2 in our team and top off the whole board. Think I got like 12,000+ points....went on a fair few killing sprees as well.

I dont know if the new maps are easier or many people havent played them as I was getting amazing scores on them. Also, I found tanks and helis total beast mode on b2k. I was doing amazing. Much easier than BF2.

Just add me on Battlelog -OCuK-SenZ. Should be on tonight some time

This expansion has really crippled my 5830. It just cant cope with the large open maps.

ATi 7 series might be in order. :eek:

That was done in bf2 special forces with the tear gas. You had to equip a gas mask if not your visison got blurry. Using the gas mask reduced your endurance so you couldn't run a lot.

So does the soflam need line of sight to the target vehicle? How do you know which vehicle is being targetted at any point via the soflam?

I like the new/old maps, but I'm not really a fan of the new increased destruction, i preferred how it was before the map pack. Wish there was a way to turn it off.

Yea it worked really well. The gas was think enough to block vision and you couldn't ignore it. A few gas rounds into the palace on warlord and it was ready for the breach.

mmm i have this but never played it lol. Its in my cupboard.

I guess its to late to play now. Id rahte play bf3 anyway.

Well i dont know which was which but 1 woudl lock on to air not ground and the other ground not air...so it seemed?

I think the Javelin can lock onto air vehicles if someone on your team is using the SOFLAM.

You missed a good one there. It also brought in night maps and there were no jets. Its worth having a quick blast on it.

Anyone else getting major framerate variances with B2K. Im getting anywhere between 40-100 :/

Usually dont get below 60 even in the most hectic of situations.

This ^. Normally Javelin only works on ground, but if someone is nice enough to plant a SOFLAM, then it will also lock on to any air vehicles the SOFLAM picks up.

so u think its worht installing for a quick game? do I need to install bf2 and all the patches to?

edit: lol it looks so bland. and to think bf2 was once pretty amazing looking back in the day

In the beta the UMP was disgusting, you could hold left mouse button at close-medium distances and it didn't really matter if you didn't bother using ADS and just shot from the hip, there was so little recoil / deviation that every shot would land pretty much. That got nerfed into the ground ofc for being like that. But now the FAMAS is exactly the same.
