The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim announced

I'm using light armour, i wear the Nightingale armour normally and the Dragonscale armour during big fights. The Matching set bonus is a must. Get around 750 armour rating.

It took me a while to realize that shields were counted in armour rating as well and count towards the matching set bonus.

I still use Dragonbane as well, with the Mace of Molag-Baal and and Ebony War Axe. There are a few armours that i missed out on though that were probably pretty good.

I do agree in a way, but i think you should be able to do all of the quests but you shouldn't necessarily become the leader of every faction, it just gets silly. I did about 4 quests for the Mages and I am Arch-Mage above the obviously better candidate, same with the Thieves Guild, i have no idea why they make you the leader!
That dopey old bloke with the beard? He'd be a rubbish Archmage!

Anyone come up against an Ancient Dragon yet, only seen one in the whole game since i started playing (gameplay is about 140hrs).

I've come up against a few Ancient Dragons. It might be coincidence, but if memory serves
they have all been since I advanced the main quest beyond speaking to Paarthurnax, getting the Elder Scroll and defeating Alduin for the first time.
They don't seem that much tougher than normal dragons, tbh, but then I am a fully geared up uber enchanted weapon type.

I've come across 1 or 2, probably under the same circumstances that Morat mentions above. I definitely found them harder to kill due to having much more hp. They didn't really hurt me too much now.

I've found I can just run up to one when it lands and hit it with a sword ignoring any damage it does to me now, same with giants.
I tried to start as a pure Mage but I've found armour is just vital and I've moved towards being as good with a sword as I am with destruction magic, conjuration is strong too whilst my best strength is archery.

How well do you guys think this will run on the following system, or would i be best off buying for console?

Q6600
3GB
8800gt 512mb
Vista ultimate
1920x1200

Cheers!

My system is fairly similar, q8600 (iirc), 4gb, 4830 512mb, win7, 1920x1080 and I play on the recommended setting of high, seems to run fairly well, I get the occasional noticeable slow down but nothing major and nothing that prevents my enjoyment of the game any more the the bloody CTDs, that's one thing that you won't have to deal with on the console!

Has anyone fought other dragons with names? like this one. Nahagliiv.

Reason i ask is its mostly blood / frost / ancient / elder and the few you encounter.

The one in that screeny was a rock hard git to beat :D

Might have done in the past. But don't remember the name, could be the same one. Where did you find this one?

Yes, although I've forgotten his name, and I was too busy beating him up to remember to screenshot it :p

Hard fight though, cost me a ton of potions... and I think I had help from at least a companion, if not some guards.

I think you get randomly spawned named dragons, or named dragons spawn as you progress through the main storyline.

*dusts off Dragonbane, sharpens her up to Legendary on a nearby grindstone*

Hey, does anyone know how to cure the blurriness of the map? I am only using the 4gb extension thing, running everything on medium with FXAA disabled. Whilst not game breaking, it is a little annoying.
