Each user has a list of notes on their profile from mods (if they've been naughty) detailing their user history.

A decision has to made which might not go down too well but it's a decision nether less. We are members / people after alll.. We have all been known to make to odd mistake or two and we are happy to admit those when that is the case.

IIRC, i've repeat offended once for everything lol

I think he meant that whilst some ppl will RTM as they think it's offensive, others won't think it's offensive and won't RTM.

User notes are things like "He was being cheeky, infraction given"
"swearie removed"

etc

I'm guessing it's 10+ user notes of a post being deleted / amended for breaking a rule?

Don't really see that as a counter argument to be honest. Just because some people don't report something doesn't mean they automatically agree with the content of what was said.

There's usually more detail in the user notes (and more of them).

Edit, imho, the offence thing is a little weak unless it's perceived as a personal attack.

No one at all mate.. it's just a number that came into my head.

Perception does play an important part but if many members complain about the same reference, it can't be ignored. Does that answer your question?

Yes they do, and perception does play an important part but if many members complain about the same reference, it can't be ignored.

So certain members will RTM to "keep" a borderline comment? That's fascinating to be honest. I've never thought of the RTM button for anything other then flagging negative posts.
