****The Official Samsung Galaxy S II Thread***

that bit might actually be true Robbo, the Sensation is argubably the better built of the two, they see them being returned the store on a daily basis. We don't..

generally though they're sales people, so were probably just trying to sell whatever their manager told them to that morning.

I strongly disagree that the Sensation is better built. It certainly seems it due to the design/materials but build quality wise I think the S2 is better. I've heard nothing about the S2 having a high failure rate either, it seems pretty low.

It's almost certainly going to be BS to try and get him to buy a Sensation because they get more commission on those.

Hmm, I really want to get rid of the Orange logo on the back of my phone, any ideas how to do it without ruining the look of the phone? :p

Would use sandpaper but it would get rid of the glossy texture as well :(

The other nugget of (mis)information they told me is that the Sensation range would get ICS before the GS2?

Honestly speaking tho, like a computer equipement, is now a bad time to buy an GS2?

Are there any other phones just round the corner?

Edit:

A little ICS news.

GS3 is meant to be out Q2 2012 but how much of an improvement it'll be remains to be seen. Hope they dont make the screen too much bigger

where is it? you could just buy a samsung battery cover, or is it below? could try a tiny bit of t-cut, then polish.

It's not on the battery cover unfortunately :p It's just to let left of the load speaker, in the middle, also next to it is the model number "I9100".

P.S. What is t-cut? Nevermind just googled it, scratch remover? hmm, will look into it.

Tcut WILL take away the flossy finish.

Given up on trying to get my S2 to connect to my Superhub. Soon as it connects it doesn't use the WiFi at all! Can't even load up the market or anything or do a speedtest using the App :confused:

Do you mean Sugar Soap? Liquid version? (not powder)

just grained sugar.. wet you finger tip get some sugar to stick on it and start rubbing the logo you will see it slowly coming off :) - won't scratch the surface at all just take the logo off

what apps are you on about btw? had a look just now and it seems to be only trial games??
Following are the apps on offer for different Samsung Galaxy users:

Samsung Galaxy SII and Samsung Galaxy Wi-Fi 5.0: Air penguin, guru planet, air attack HD, paladog, artillery brigade, Ripitide GP HD, bang bang racing, roboto, bubble fish, samurai 2, European war, sprinkle, flip flip flip, trial xtreme, grow and zixxby.

Samsung Galaxy Note: Air penguin, Ripitide GP HD, air attack HD, paladog, artillery brigade, bang bang racing, roboto, grow, zixxby, trial xtreme, sprinkle and samurai 2.

Riptide HD and Sprinkle are definitely worth grabbing.
