'Gay' as a derogatory term, acceptable or not?

Coming straight outta the capital of gaiety itself, I don't know a single Gaylord who takes offence to it being used in that manner. It's just accepted.
 
I use gay to describe an item or the result of someones action sometimes. I don't see it as derogatory per se. Clearly it can be when trying to insult someone who is homosexual, but its context at the end of the day.

Who exactly is 'nature'?

You seem to be unaware that homosexuality has been around for centuries and has been observed in many species. A male/female monogamous relationship *is* a modern perception of what is acceptable. Humans, in the past, have frequently been bisexual and are naturally polygamous not monogamous. Look at ancient Greece or Egypt for example.

I have never once said I found gay people disgusting - but I disagree with them raising children and that's my right.

The point you made about single parents does have some validity; I agree there are many heterosexuals doing a terrible job of raising kids, but usually the father is absent in those cases, a situation also against the natural order of things in my opinion.

The male / female family unit is how nature intended, that is undeniable fact. If it was otherwise gay couples could impregnate one another and have children - they can't.

Nature is on my side of the argument - all you have is a modern perception of what is acceptable and one hell of a snotty attitude.

Not really it didn't, does nature breed gay people or is it in the upbringing that makes them gay, in humans at least, can't really speak for animals

Quite frankly unless you are making it obvious that you are gay I am not bothered. What you must understand though is that being gay is not normal and some people find it an unpreferable quality in somebody.

I realise people are gay, but please, keep it to yourself and understand that many men find it revolting.

It's nature. As proven by homosexuality in many species. It's not just a human thing. So yes, it's a very natural thing.

Interesting question,

I'm not gay, yet I love doing my girlfriend in the arse, is that because I'm hiding my true feelings or is it because I just like to hear her scream?
