What meat are you having for Christmas dinner this year?

Roast Lamb (Would prefer roast beef though)

I think we've had turkey once, and never again since it was sooo dry. Been having roast chicken ever since :D

Well I wanted roast beef but my mummy says she is crap at cooking it so we compromised on beef wellington, which is beef fillet inside pastry... go figure...

We are having a nice big chunk of Rib. I got it at the beginning of the week and got it out the fridge yesterday morning. Its all brown and sticky now....mmmmmmm Yummy. Just put in the oven on low to cook for a 4 or 5 hours. CANNOT wait for it.

Do you have the other traditional veg and stuff with it?

I'm thinking its BBQ Rib?

Sorry my post wasn't very informative. Rib of beef I have and of course we are having the other stuff too. Pigs in blankets, pots, steamed veg and roast veg, Yorkies, peas, stuffing, parsnips, gravy. The list goes on. I am going to open a bottle of wine in a bit and have my traditional first thing in the morning glass whilst I clean up the house after the Christmas eve session.

Not only is your name highly fitting to what you put, I envy you lol.

My parents go overkill on christmas day and I'm sat in their kitchen at the moment seen as the bedroom they so lovingly provided has no heating...

Main meat for christmas dinner is goose, which is to be cooked in a few hours time, but we also have pork glazed in honey and mustard, gamon cooked in butter and peppercorns, a gigantic home made pork pie and a garlic marinaded chicken.

Theres only 6 of us for christmas dinner as well :D Its been the same every year since I can remember and seen as I'm 27, thats quite a while :P

You should. Beef Rib is probably the tastiest cut you can get, tender and fatty just how it should be. If I remember I will take a picture later once its cooked.

I forgot. We have a gammon too. Cooked it last night. Its only a small one as there only three of us and ones a vegetarian. The rib is huge though:D

Get some pics if you can mate! I went to macro with my dad a few weeks back and he bought some ribs in there which where entire half ribcages from a cow. Really impressive stuff. He slow roasted them for a good 4-5 hours before serving and we couldn't even pick them up out of the tray as the meat just fell off of the bone :D

Seriously tasty stuff!

At wife's family so no control, hate it Richmond sausages in the pigs in blankets, crap spuds, crap food all round, every other year we have to come here.

When I am at home I make a nice turkey and goose fat spuds, with some nice stuffing.

We got some Goose fat too for our spuds. Never used it before so I am looking forward to trying them.

Duck, although my 4 year old daughter refuses to believe it's duck & claims it's chicken :D

I cooked a roast turkey. Basted it with an honey & olive oil mixture and sprinkled Italian herbs over the top.

Looks like a Vietnamese napalm victim, but I assure you it tasted fantastic.
