What film did you watch last night?

Columbiana

Really lazy sound design...Awfuk in places and no connection with any of the characters even the Girl at the start once she grew up.

Ides of March...Brilliant.....Loved it

I didn't think it was as good as the Swedish film.

That isn't to say it's a bad film, it's not, it's good, it's classy and has a very good visual and audio style which is what I expect from a D Fincher movie. However, it was a film that just didn't need remaking. The Swedish "originals" are magnificent.
Well have to agree with you, it was a film that didn't need remaking.

I don't know if it's not as good as the Swedish version, just didn't really feel any different at all.

Thought Rooney Mara was excellent, didn't think much of Daniel Craig though, poor casting to choose James Bond as Blomkvist.... just didn't work for me at all.

Rooney Mara is playing Noomi Rapace, Noomi Rapace is Lisbeth for me.

They're films that didn't need remaking. I'm pleased other people can see sense :)

Watched the Devils Double last night, its like the scarface of the middle east...loved every single bit of it, thought it was fantastic...10/10 for me.

Off to see Mission impossible ghost protocol tonight with the missus, looking forward to it.

The Kings Speech : Blu Ray.

Amazing! Haven't been so captivated by a film for ages, brilliantly acted by Colin Firth, absolute magic. I felt Georges pain so vivdly it genuinely hurt to watch in places, Geoffery Rush as Loge also brilliant.

Didn't realise Firth had won so many awards for this performance but it's easy to see why when watching the film. Got it as Lovefilm rental but will definitely buy this at some point. Might have to watch it again before I send it back.

Watched My Week With Marilyn tonight.

Very much enjoyed it. Has a nice slow but steady pace to it, was quite raw and tragic in places, and the script wasn't overly romanticised as I expected it to be. Subtle and quite obviously an English film with the odd American actor in - as opposed to being the other way around. 8/10

Cowboys & Aliens

Turned it off about 10 minutes after they, aliens, something, James Bond broke someone's arm?. Harrison Ford was in it ?? wtf?

3/10 might try again.

Bad Boys II - Very funny in places, but a bit long 7/10
Big Daddy - Sandler is amazing, "for the record can you state to the court where you worked while attending univeristy?" :D - 8/10
Dont mess with the Zohan - Some loved it some hated it, I thought it was spot on - 9/10

The Hit List

6/10. Some plot holes but overall a worthwhile watch imo. More for a rental rather than one you'd keep in your collection though.

Never went to see it at the flicks, thought it would be the same ole contrived blockbuster reboot.... had my fill with transformers, thor and the like.

Rise of the apes.

Films gota lota love, just how wrong i was, the trails completely mislead me.... the best blockbuster since the first ironman.

The writers did a stirling job, a solid film on that front, as well as being a visual treat.

I fear a sequel, chances are they'll play to the crowd, just like ironman:(
