Hdmi on cm9 would be awesome.
I just had a blast around CM9 and I have to say it's looking very good. Animations are smooth, everything appears to be there but HDMI output does not work yet. It recognises that the MHL dongle is connected because the screen autorotates (you can't disable this it seems) and the battery starts charging too but no display on the TV.
Bugs I noticed in this 'Alpha':
- Camera works but not many options, can't change photo resolution.
- Camera glitches out sometimes and stops working.
- Video playback is sketchy, some MP4 files I had would not play.
- The built in Gallery app will not display media stored on the internal memory, I thought for a moment it had wiped internal mem but after installing QuickPic I realised this was not the case

- Autobrightness does not work. I imagine most sensors will be dodgy in the Alpha anyway though.
- The audio for ringtones/notifications/alarms etc appear to be stored in a different place now as my usual location that GB uses (sdcard/audio/ringtones etc) will not list them when you go to select a tone in settings.
A new version of CWM 5.5.0.4 is installed by CM9 as well. The dialler supports T9 search, YAY! It does not however take you to a contact's details page when you click on the contact, it merely does what Samsung's TW dialler does,. it fills the dial box with the default phone number for that contact. Booo!
I have a question, how do you browse the recent list of opened apps in ICS? long pressing home obviously launches the task manager. I will be using GoLauncherEX anyway though when this goes stable and ICS support is wide so I can use Go's Recent tab in the app tray but obviously that's not as useful as long pressing home to get to recent apps when you're in the middle of another app.
The browser is superb in ICS, it's just vastly better for slickness and usability compared to any other stock phone browser on any platform that I've used.
I've restored back to CheckROM for now though, IMO it's a fine ROM with the ICS 1.7.2 theme on top.
