What film did you watch last night?

I remember seeing that a while back, was very good.

I've seen Innkeepers now and thought it was pretty good, the ending was quite unexpected and the performances from the actors were also not too bad either. There were some genuine tense moments and jump out of your seat scares as well. They could have done more with the ghostly aspects I think but over all I think it's worth a watch for any horror fan.

I'm looking to get some Thai/Korean horror next and have been scouting various Top25/50 etc horror listing sites with reviews. There's loads out there but most are very hard to get hold of over here!

For those of you want to watch a really good prison drama, try Felon (2008).
Top movie and Val Kilmer is unrecognisable and top class in there.

I Saw the Devil and Oldboy are well worth a watch :)

Harry Potter 5. I better finish reading #7 pronto!

:o

Films are terrible on the whole, couple are ~alright.

I was expecting it to be dreadful...It wasn't but it certainly was not great either:p

There is nothing 'ok' about that film. It's terrible. People shouldn't go and see these cash cow milking garbage films and they might stop making them.

I watched Terminator 2 last night, it was on ITV2. One of the all time greatest films ever. Two killing machines slugging it out in slick action scenes in a time where CGI were bare bones. All the chase scenes be it on foot or on the highway are just sublime.

Not enough praise for Terminator 2 I tell ye. I'd dare rate it as a better sequel than Godfather II. I'm aware it's 'just' an action movie, but that sort of thinking and conditioning that we have towards action movies are all from the dreadful tat of the last twenty years. They just don't make them like they used to anymore.

39th best film of all time on imdb, which is excellent for an action film.

Itv only ever show the theatrical cut. The longer cuts are miles better - they fill the story out so much more.

If you want something like Taken, try The Man from Nowhere... is an awesome film! :)

Don't forget Man on Fire.
Instead of his teenage daughter (as in Taken), he is searching for a young girl, who he befriends...and takes brutal revenge from those who kidnapped her and almost killed him.

I totally agree.
On the whole, the Harry Potter movies aren't too great. They are not bad, but just nothing special. They are cash cows...no doubt about it.

I didnt even bother watching the last 2 movies, as I'm pretty sure that they likely to be borefests. In general kids have short attention spans, so how they can sit through 2.5 hours of a slow moving movie - I will never know.

50/50

Wonderful film and totally not what i was expecting. I found it quite helpful too as a friend of mine was recently diagnosed with cancer but has a strong sense of humour, i guess it showed me that taking the **** out of such a horrible thing can actually be healing. Had a conversation with her today after watching it and it's the first time i've seen her smile in a long time.

9/10

I think I preferred the 1st having Arnie not having any affection. Like when he says, now I know why you cry ???????????? Hello ???? He's a frickin Terminator.. not an emotional councelor. Get on with the killing and protecting if that's what you're programmed to do. I preferred him cold.
