****The Official Samsung Galaxy S II Thread***

I'm sure they'd get suspect, since this would be the 3rd out of 3 that I've sent back, the first had dead pixels on the screen, the 2nd had dust behind the screen and some clouding issue on the screen and this, well, you can see above.

They can get suspicious all they want but those first two were legitimate complaints so they can't really make any sort of issue out of it.

Did not realise how useful JuiceDefender is. Accidentially uninstalled it the other day, and my battery absolutely sucks..barely lasts 10/12 hours with medium usage. I used to get almost 3 days before.

Reinstalled JuiceDefender so hopefully it will slowly increase my battery life, I think it needs like 2 weeks or so to learn what you do on your phone/adapt or whatever?

But my display drained 50% of my battery today, same usage as before. Hopefully I get my battery efficiency back..lol

Since when is JuiceDefender that complex? It isn't.

The main thing it does is turn off mobile data when the screen is off, which obviously saves battery life. Then it depends on how often you sync when your screen is off, the longer you go without mobile data the more time the phone has to sleep.

It's a good app to do it automatically I suppose, which is why it's so popular. However you can do it manually without the need for an app. There are a few apps on the Market which do the same thing.....

True. If it comes to that then I will probably get a refund and buy something else.

Strangely though since factory resetting it a 2nd time, my phone has been running solid for a good 6 hours now without as much as a hiccup, the first reset didn't help at all. I'm really unsure whether to return it or keep it and see if it continues to be okay.

New to the whole flashing thing,

Ive tried a few roms out and have one I currently like, only since switching from stock my signal and 3g has been poop?

What do I need to flash over it to increase performance? (the modem?)

it's definitely not a screen issue or software issue, i wouldn't rule out the battery frying something internally tbh, not sure why james.miller thinks it must be a coincedence :/

because it's display corruption. notice in one of the photos the battery symbol was on the screen. What's the chances of the battery frying the gpu but nothing else? I'm not saying it is the gpu that's failed but if the battery symbol is on the screen the phone recognises that it's still charging, then obviously there's still some logic working in there. Hugely unlikely that the battery caused it. That's like claiming your psu blew up the southbridge on your shiny new motherboard - it's not really going to happen :p

Looks interesting, I shall have a look. I must've recorded all of half a dozen videos on my mobile phone over the last 3 years so I think it's probably something I won't miss :D

The CM are making great progress on the SGS2 so it will be in there. They are waiting on the source code for the kernel to be released and then all those stuff will be fixed.

The genuine extended battery pack is only £21.75 from rainforest. Got one last night.

Next, I need to find a decent case, anything that resembles the Walnutt cases and can be bought in the UK?

If its the Walnutt bumper cases you are on about you can get them on GMarket again, I think mrk (khan) bought a couple of these a while back?

It also supports the extended battery as far as im aware!

Or you could maybe look at the SGP Ultra Capsule cases?

Thanks for the help. I am trying not to spend £25 quid on a case :D

Will the SGP Ultra Capsule fit the extended battery pack?
