My highest SPM is playing assault.
because they were on a different team, and couldn't swap because the server was full most likely.
You can't. Loads of people have asked for it to be sorted but Dice have so far done nothing about it and can't even give a straight answer as to when,if ever,it will be sorted. How do I customise the Russain soldier in the "my soldier section", only can find acess to the Marine solders side.
Played a few games last night(in a full squad with friends this time) and we joined a few different lobbies and every single one of them there were only us capturing the points.
So I got this the other day, and it's great fun, but I'm not a big fan of how over-done the unlock system is. Fair enough, I can understand the game throwing you some extra weapons/scopes as encouragement for playing, but some of the stuff feels like it should be yours from the start. The assault class not getting the defrib as standard, for instance.
And the jets are just ridiculous though. The only way to get missiles is to kill with your ridiculously hard-to-aim machine gun? Whilst getting attacked by enemy fighters that already have said missiles? Oh yeah, and of course, you don't even get counter-measures by default, so you're basically ****ed. I really want to get the hang of flying in this game, but I'm basically a sitting duck every time I go up, and it feels like a joke.
At least in the helis you can tag along, man the gun, or repair from the outside seats. The planes seem to be an impossible brick wall of levelling.

Oh, they no doubt are, but that's kind of my point. Their ability is massively helped by the fact they have all these tools on their side too. If I could get to flares, I would at least have the knowledge that as soon as I hear the beeps of something locking on, I don't have to immediately start weaving and banking like a madman to evade. I get to that point, and then I might be able to actually improve. It might just be the fact that the people killing you are just simply better pilots.![]()

With helis, there's plenty you can do in them to get points without necessarily killing anything. Jets, not so much.
Again, my complaint isn't about whether I'm a good pilot or not, it's the unlock system, and how I think there's too much to it. If all the infantry started with pistols, and had to unlock rifles to get anywhere, you'd have a similar nasty learning curve. I think it's bad design, personally.
Past few nights I have been unable to join any servers that are hosted in the UK. Says I need to check my network connection. My PS3 is in the DMZ so it shouldn't be a ports issue.
