Earning Money from home, any ideas?/no "get-rich-quick" schemes

there are distributed call centres that allow you to work from home on-line, something like:
http://www.liveops.com/

Crafting stuff is a pretty good way to earn a bit or money, sell through etsy.com or folksy.com or even design and sell 3d printed items?

Have a look into drop shipping, i've even seen people using amazon to fufill items they sold on eBay directly!

You could also gold farm I guess...

Teach piano?

You don't really need a diploma to teach... but it's worthwhile going on something like this if you think you're at a level where you could teach.

Amazing how many people hit grade 8 and think that they can teach though, it's quite a sore point amongst many established teachers. Teaching beginners is generally accepted to be difficult and it's crucial that you know what you're doing so as not to allow bad habits to develop from the outset. Don't think I'd consider trying to teach until I had at least DipABRSM, 15 years experience playing and a load of the core repertoire out of the way.

To be totally honest the government should be giving you a greater amount so you don't have to work - you already have a job, it's called being a full time carer.

Before anybody starts crying about "benefits shouldn't be that high"

1. I work & pay allot of tax - I'd gladly it go to carers.

2. People need to factor in how much money he is SAVING the tax payer, if he walked away from his commitments the government cost of care would be considerably higher by a massive factor than even a theoretical 20k wage PA paid directly to him.

3. I doubt many of us would be able to do 24/care - it's harder work than 90% of jobs.

My father has been looking after my mother for most of my life due to her illness - it's amazing how little support carers receive & I'm more than happy to pay tax to go towards helping all cares along.

Don't disagree with any of that.

Having been a carer before whilst still trying to hold down a job (and not trying to claim any sort of allowance), I'll +1 that too.

It's hard work, sometimes stressful and tbh I'd not want anyone to have to do it for me. :(

As others have mentioned you can sell items on websites (I use Play.com).

To echo what others have said, I just want to add how much I admire someone that does what you do. :)

Good luck! :)

I agree with this fully too. My uncle is mentally handicapped and although he is independent and able he's still needed 24 hour care throughout most of his life and ive seen first hand its far from easy!

My best mate is disabled (muscular dystrophy, spelling?). He went to uni to learn 3d design and stuff.

Maybe you could do the same from home? He makes a absolute ton! Simply sits on his arse all day drawing stuff in 3d...

Not like he has a choice in that, surely?!

£55 a week for carers allowance, it's a disgrace, you get more on the dole!

Exactly lol My total sum for a week is around £95 CA+IS IF i was to let someone into our home, or get them put into a care thing for a day every day, it would cost thousands to the tax payers etc - You know what gets me, you still get branded with the scum/bum label from most people as they dont understand - OH and the other big thing being a carer isnt classed as a job part time or full time according to most people.

Sorry for the little rant lol But its just made me realise how little i get, not that i didnt before but compared to people on the dole, teenagers that get preggers etc its quite annoying. But i wouldnt want to do anything else so i guess im/were stuck with it.
