Ah that was nice, grabbed a few packs, thought sod it, one more then done, and pulled Aguero!

Not the TOTY I was hopinng for, but better than a slap on the happysack!

on this database what does the cardweight mean?

Also found out that Milner has injury free, power free kick & long shot taker traits.

Suarez has diver trait, lol

its got something to do with how many are on the market i would guess, but since there are 2 separate markets i have no idea what it's based on.

power free kick just means they can smash them if you press L1 (LB), i dont really find power free kicks useful unless your more than 28 yards out, or the opposing player likes to move their wall or your guy has a lot of power and your on the edge of the box and you just aim for the corner the GK is protecting.

also you cannot see "specialities" on the database, you still need to go into single player to see them, such as "tactician" clinical finisher" "aerial prowess" "strength" "complete forward", etc.

4-5-1 is quite a good passing formation Bucket, you need 2 good attacking CAMs but I used to like it before I became a 1-2 spam pace whore, you can keep the ball really well and sometimes play wonder balls if a CAM makes a good run :)

i see formation cards are still ridiculously priced, haven't seen one cheaper than 8k for 4-1-2-1-2. Example, i pull a player worth 5k as a 5-2-2-1, in order for me to get him in the formation i want i have to get a formation card for 8k when that player isn't even worth 8k. craziness.

Yeah I played that in 10 with a German team and it was OK, I just didn't score enough.

I play 5-2-1-2 as it's my favoured formation, perhaps I was just having an off day yesterday. I'll play some more matches in a sec and report back.

I'm not new to the game, I understand all of these things, please stop.

My point was that UT compared to H2H seems to be more reliant on pace and just spamming 1-2's, it's really irritating. Whereas in H2H it isn't as fast, so there is more time to pass and not as much 1-2 speed abuse. Hense me preferring H2H.

I've not played H2H at all really (only a few games);

I find that the speed of the game is entirely reliant on the person you're playing against and how much pressure they put on you. If a person is constantly calling for an extra player to help out (team contain) then you're likely to get less time on the ball. You really need to move the ball at most two touches and plan your moves out ahead.

Speed isn't everything, but you do need a balance.

Edit: 5-2-1-2 isn't really much of a passing formation. It's a count attack and contain formation.

When you play 5 at the back you're setting your self up to not lose, if that makes sense and then trying to hit on the break with ideally, a lot of pace.

If you want a passing formation you need a minimum of 4 in the middle, preferably 5, as it presents more options for short balls, so you can move the opposition around easier.

Aye, 4-1-2-1-2 cards are insanely priced and players with that formation tend to be a lot more expensive as well.

When I've made my new team I've only got one player in actualy 41212, the rest are all, say, 442, 4411, 4312 (defenders) so they have a dark green formation, really not worth paying the premium for 1/2 more chem per player tbh.

This is true, they are still up there.

I pulled tevez out of a pack and he was in the wrong formation for me, so I picked up a 4-4-2 card for 4.5k. Which was steep enough.

Opened two packs and in the second pack I pulled out a 4-4-2 formation card (just my luck!) and sold it for 6.5k BIN.

Obscene.

In the vast majority of cases, you're better of selling the player and rebuying in the correct formation.

The actual speed of the game I'm pretty sure is different between the two, Tim always moaned about it.

I'm playing games today and it seems much better, must have been an off day yesterday.

I wouldn't say 5-2-1-2 is a definite counter attack formation, I don't play it like that, it's good to build up with. It's only a defensive and counter attacking formation if played on Ultra Defensive, which I don't, I play it on normal or ultra attack usually.

It wasn't the options or anything I was short of it was the game speed difference between the two seemed to catch me out.

From what I know the speed does differ yes, but with most things, you can dictate how much you want. If you want to slow the game down you can, just with a more defensive set up and gentle forward approach.

But I think you're right, as standard the tempo is different between the two :)

I'm sure Andy has agreed with me before that it's a more attacking formation than defensive, the Wing Backs are always half way up the pitch leaving 3 at the back :p

I disagree strongly you 5 at the back cheap whore! WHORE!

*tuts disapprovingly*
