**** Original Starcraft 2 Thread ****

I use mediafire myself, just post a link in here once you have them uploaded, that way you can get response from many people. Some pretty decent Ts in here as well who i'm sure would be happy to help :)

You can push out 8 roaches within 3.5 minutes, plus 2 zerglings. That's a pretty mad opener. It's not going to win you many platinum games due to counters but you can hide that too.

I do 7 roach rush + expand vs terran which hits them at 6 mins just as their first 2 hellions come out from a Hellion expand build (80% of Terran do this opener in plat/dia, mostly blindly) which can easily win the game.

If they scout (scv or scan) then a bunker or marauder will hold and a quick counter-attack of m/m or marauder hellion will be hard to hold.

8 Roaches in 3.5 mins in-game time? Terran won't have much more than 1 marine, no matter which opening build they choose which doesn't sound right at all.

I love it when z does this against me. Easy to scout then you've delayed their expo so long that you can collect the free win :)

To move from plat to diamond better scouting is key I think. Mechanics aren't really that different between these leagues.

Just one marauder, a couple of marines and a bunker (behind a wall off) will hold a 7RR.

You'll have to pull a few SCV's to repair, but there's no way 7 roaches will get in with a marauder there.

So true :D

My experience is that diamond league tends to have stronger mid-late games. Platinum will often have a reasonably well practiced opening, with little forethought beyond that. Strengthen your initial scouting to stop the simple allins and keep alright macro as you go into mid-late game and you'll hit diamond no problem.
