How much ram you have installed determines the hibernate file size.

I've got 8GB RAM installed and never use sleep or hibernate, if i walk away from my PC for 2 hours i leave it on, if it's going to be longer I switch it off. As it's on an SSD the extra boot time (compared to sleep mode) doesnt bother me. So is there any non-obvious downside/effect of disabling hibernate (i.e. affect on other things)?

EDIT: Wow just read that it should free up an amount equal to my physical RAM -

Ive yet to use Hibernate on any PC so far. Its all about freeing up space when it comes to SSD's anyway :D.

Does anyone else need the SQDM assignment doing before condemn the game mode and never look at it again :p

Me please. WIll be on about 7.30pm tonight if 3 hot ocukers could help me out? :D

11 back to back losses nearly resulted in my fist going through my eyefinity setup

so utterly sick of basically carrying a team of hill snipers and people afk in our base  if there was an award for covering the most ground in a round I know I'd win hands down

the one game I was going to win I went to swap squads and hit switch team by accident........aaarrrrgggghhhh!!!!

and breathe :D

Will add you and see if we can change that losing streak of yours :p

I had thought about getting a SSD. The initial load of the game takes a while but once in game the map changes aren't that bad. There's usually 20secs or more on the countdown timer to the round start by the time I'm in. So for the amount that I play I didn't think it worth the hassle in the end just to get a quicker game load if I would just be waiting longer for the countdown to finish on map changes!

tbh if you are gunna be playing bf3 a lot the load times are night and day faster even from a good mechanical hard drive

top man,

Thundycat and I have played quite a few games together which have been a quality laugh, it's solo gaming which gets me more annoyed (although I do have the odd rage when thundy and I play ;)) would be great if there was a pool of players available to do random conquests (or whatever) with.

I'm not hugely keen on hardcore servers but that would probably all change if there was a group of us, obviously if you have a decent squad the negative aspect of an HC server (no health gain) would quickly become a positive by having a medic in your team :)

Funniest thing for me was I played bf3 up to level 40 not knowing you could change scopes, vehicle options etc... I just assumed all the upgrades that kept popping up were automatically adding themselves to my guns!! crazy I know but my mate got to lvl 35 thinking precisely the same!

must be old age :(

I would love to....BUT my internets down until Friday :( I only need two more wins to get the L85A2

The panic is rising of not being able to play for 4 days.....I've injured ankle ligaments so can't go running.....ahhhhhhhhh.

I might actually have to interact with the "real world" ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh
