The Banter Thread

I think Spurs might be a suitable choice for him, the counter attacking football they produce at times is very similar to how Madrid do it.

Joking aside no. He's said many times before that he would only manage clubs that have a realistic chance of winning the league as well as the financial backing to do so. He wouldn't come to Liverpool because he wouldn't want to build a team and fight for trophies, he wants an easy ride so with that in mind it'll either be City or Chelsea.

I would imagine taking over from a European inept manager like Mancini for the second time in a row and proving how easy it is to take a good team far in Europe would be the perfect match for his ego.

I know but I can't see City being able to give him to boot if he were to win them their first league title in god knows how long. Maybe a year or so down the line if they're still not competing in Europe but not this summer.

i would love to see one of the super managers actually manage a mid table team with **** all money and then see how good they are and how good a scouting team they could build. having all the money is good, but have one of them manage a mid table team and turn them into a major force would be a good testament to how good they really are.

mourinho to everton. bring it on lol.

Someone needs to muzzle Kenny Dalglish. He can't accept or acknowledge that his player has done something wrong, he continually down plays the incident and is dismissing it. Has he apologised to Evra over this yet?

Same applies for AVB, The clubs should take action and step in over these sort of issues.

Liverpool have suffered a massive blow to their reputation recently with the way they've handled the recent racist incident, Kenny Dalglish isn't helping this situation at all. They need to invest in serious media training for that man.

It was very uncomfortable hearing Evra being boo'd. It boiled down to Evra was being called a liar, being abused for being racially abused and what has he actually done wrong other then report racist abuse? The racist claims were then proved to be correct by an FA commission.

What happens when (I hope it doesn't happen again) but something like this happens again? Look at what's happened to Anton Ferdiand? He didn't even complain about that!

Other black players must look at this (as other people from other walks of life) and see that black people have have spoken out against racism and reported it and they've been treated this badly?

Especially given the tribal nature of Liverpool's response and Kenny Dalglish, this extends to Chelsea, Terry and AVB, you've got to look on and see the bigger picture. This is encouraging an act of silence in regards to racism, this is what happens when you report racism, I mean Anton F got a bullet in the post?! Christ almighty.

Kenny Dalglish downplaying this? Saying he's been boo'd and saying it's friendly banter? REALLY? Black player reports racist abuse and is vilified and abused for doing so? Kenny Dalglish is someone I used to have huge respect from, after the way he's handled this. Nadad.

I also want to point out that I'm baffled why Terry's still playing at the minute let alone England captain. Why? I fully 100% understand Suarez being played while the FA were making their mind up, Terry however is under Police investigation?! Why hasn't he being suspended. Suarez's case was different in how it was dealt with, Terry's is a public offence. I'm baffled.

I think the handshake pre game should be removed too, it's stupid. Why should they shake hands before the game? It's gimmicky and it feels forced.

It's sad, It's a blind defence of their players, it's tribal. Which I understand but I think it's wrong, with these sort of allegations you have to look at the bigger picture and address that. You can't make racism tribalism, you can't down play it.

This might come across as a rant, but meh, I'm putting DM to shame. I'm always awaiting Baz to come in and down play the racism incident too.

The racism incident was months ago and I've said all I have to say on it.

For the final time on the abuse Evra got on Saturday, all I'll say is your ignorance as to why he was abused is incredible and if you're really upset about the abuse he took, you need to grow a pair. However, I look forward to your condemnation of the far worse abuse we heard on Saturday and will hear at a lot of football games up and down the country as I'm certain that you're not just looking to score points.
