A quick question...

I just bought some of the grape red pastel coolant, however it's not as dark as I was expecting (more of a pink colour), so I was wondering if there's anything I can do to colour it? If I bought some of the red dye, for example, and added that, would that make much of a difference?

what tubing you using all so can i have a pic of the res as well. What is say on the bottle to.

Pink is normally brighter (a lot brighter)

If you whant it to be darker you can add a couple of drops of blue dye to it.

This is pink

The bottle says Grape red, which I assumed would be a similar colour to red grapes (because of the name).

The tubing is clear (this stuff to be precise)

The coolant looks exactly the same in the reservoir too.

I'll get pictures of both for you this evening. I might have to order some blue dye to darken it then.

I may have some dye if it is any help

not at home this evening but I will have a look when I get back

That could be, yea, probably only actually need a drop or two.

sorry i get my fruit mixed up hahaha. been a long day ....

So your saying that's the colour it should be? Wasn't really trying to imply you had made a mistake, just that I was expecting it to be different, as the picture of the colour looks darker to me, although it's possible that's just due to the lighting.

Don't suppose you have any pictures of what sort of colour it would go if I added a couple of drops of blue? Would just be quite nice to see what I could get to see if it's worth it. (Although I would still try a small amount first anyway.

What is the difference between Pastel and X1 range. I'm building my first ever loop towards the end of this month, simple CPU only in a red / black colour scheme HAF-X and was wondering which the best fluid to use would be.

Thanks

The lighting does effect the looks of colours and its near imposable to get a perfect picture. All so the fact that every one screen looks different and each batch is slightly different in colour due to the nature of the product.

In a system with no lights it will be dark in a system with lights it will look different ect ect.

Sorry i dont have any pastel grape with me at the moment there all down at the warehouse but when a new batch is made ill try and get some shots for you.

Cheers, that would be great, don't suppose you know when that might be? No real rush, as I'm not going to be draining my system quickly, as I've been without it for almost a week already :p

Thanks for all the help hough, you've been great, hope you haven't thought I've been having a go at you or anything, as that wasn't at all my intention, although I realise what I've been saying could have been interpreted like that. If you have felt like that, I apologise :)

No. no one has a go as such at us they only suggest and we all ways listen and if we can we either change our products to suit the needs of the users (depending on amount of requests) or we help out in a way that is individually tailerd to that user.

Do not ever be worried about feeling as though you have some how upset us it will never be considered in that way. You bought a product with certain expectation and we will deliver to your expectation else we feel as though we as a company may have let you down.

We cannot all ways fix all problems how ever we will do out best. :)

Oky this is hard to see but its the best pic we can do.

Left to right

1) No blue dye added
2) 1/2 a drop of blue dye
3) 1 Drop of blue dye
4) 2 drops of blue dye
5) 3 drops of blue dye

As you can see the more blue dye you add into it the darker the colour. You can have a slight different effect all so using purple.

Here is a good way to work out the colours you are after using a colour wheel.

As you can see from the wheel the more blue we add to the red the more violet colour we get.

Now just to show what i mean by colours look different under different lighting we used a flash this time to take a picture of the same colours.

Not editing tricks involved just a flash. So with no light they look darker and like in you pictures of your system above we add light into it and it looks pinker ;).
